What up everyone!! I'm officially a pollen chucking s.o.b. as of today! Lol.. I have 4 plants growing in one gal pots. They are strickly for making seeds. The first one got dusted last night. The first one up was my Almach from the Auto flower portal. I dusted her with male pollen from Mephisto...Ripleys Og × Tyrone Stomper. The 2nd cross will be a Sweet seeds Dark Devil with pollen from a Ripleys Og × Chemdogging male. I have a few more crosses planned but we will start with this Almach cross for now! This is my first time pollinating plants, make a cross and making seeds. I'm super excited! I dusted the Almach at about 24 days old or so. She has a good amount of pistils already showing. Wish me luuucckkk! Any and all advise is welcomed!!

Good luck and happy chucking
Thanks brotha! Soo is pollen chucking and making autos by crossing different strands from different breeders, viewd as taboo? I know is a touchy subject with photoperiods. I want to eventually make my own autos by crossing autos and photos, but needed an easy start. Lol.

If you pay the money the breeder asks you can do what you like with the seeds.
Just don't try to breed with them and sell the seeds.......... Wait, where do the breeders get their genetics to start with? Oh they get them from seeds someone else made and then they sold them to you.

Making people want to throw money at you is the difficult part, breeding for personal fun is where it's at.

Thank you for that confirmation! This is definitely for fun. I see people catching hell for making auto crosses then doing give aways for the seeds. But like you stated, once they are bought and paid for then, hey, all bets are off! Lol.. I feel a little more at ease now!

Nobody owns this plant, we are but temporary custodians.

Breeding an pollen chucking are two separate things a lot of people don't like the instability of plants that haven't been bred for certain characteristics an the uncertainty of f1s ,I myself plan on breeding a few plants for my medical grows but I plan on taking them to at least f3an have documented the pheno types an the medical benefits of each ,something you very rarely see from a breeder the professor at dynasty seeds in Oregon takes the time to do it not many do .

That helped me connected the dots. I always assumed "breeding" was just creating your own original strains by crossing strains others hadn't. Now I get that breeding is the art of pheno hunting and taking the offspring to several generations. The lightbulb is ON. Lol. Makes so much more sense now.

Look into marijuana botany by r.c.Clarke a great read if interested in breeding.

Yes exactly it's completely breeding for characteristics and trying to stabilize and constantly be able to grow a plant with the characteristics you want ,although there a quite a few famous breeders that are lil more than pollen chuckers creating strains that have nothing but pheno differences in every strain i will not name them i try to let everyone experience genotype differences its not so bad unless you go back looking for that same plant effect, taste look ECT and you get something else completely.
