Just looks dry, but yes if your watering just after photos then it could give that perception, and if your watering till pretty much run off then ignore the comment above.

One thing to mention though, not that i'm saying its happening in your case, but if a soil/mix is too dry it can actually shed water instead of taking it up, as because its dry it could just let the water pass right through and I've had that happen with plenty of mixes if too dry, a way to see if that is the case is to put a small tray under the plant and catch any runoff, but leave the pot and the runoff in the tray, then check again in an hr or less to see if that level has reduced and been sucked back into the soil/mix, if it hasn't your saturated, and just dump out the tray, if that level is now gone or lower and been sucked back into the mix you now know.

Yeah something wasnt right at some point but i dont know what it is.
Maybe using distilled water only until recently switching to tap/distilled caused ph issues and stunted her early in the growth cycle.

She doesn't seem to be wanting to grow side branches. Im not sure what causes this. At 31 days there isnt much time for those to develop. You could just have a plant with bad genetics, it happens. She will make you some buds, just not a lot.

I have seen this pheno in a lot of autos, where there are no side branches at all. Usually turns into one large bud.

Day 35
Gave 8oz water with mammoth p and recharge.
Also sprayed opticfoliar overgrow.

She is 8.5in tall. So she grew about 1.5in in 3 days.
About 12in until she will be touching the light so hopefully she doesnt get too close before shes done stretching.
Might have to bend her a little.

Soil ph still tested at 7.0 before watering.

Day 37
Gave 6oz water with mammoth p.
Shes about 9.5in tall now so she went another inch in two days.

Soil seems to dry out alot between watering 6oz every two days in a half gallon fabric pot. If i water anymore than 6oz i get run off which kindsoil advises against. When i water 8oz i get runoff right after i finish watering.
Im thinking maybe watering 6oz everyday or would that be too much? Or maybe water,water, one day off then repeat?
The top inch or maybe even the whole top half of the pot is bone dry when i go to water every two days.
Let me know what you think.

Sounds like its drying out quickly, fabric pots do cause that more than plastic pots, but id just throw down a tray and water it with more, and not worry about the pot sitting in water for a day as it will get re sucked back into the pot, so really you don't have to worry about run off as its all gonna be used up in time, with kindsoil they just don't want you to be flushing away the nutrients repeatedly to waste. Also having a plant sit in water isn't bad, if done temporarily, it just if its consistently sitting in a pool of water that it can become a problem.

When i use to do soil and hand watered for weekends or times i was away i would let the plants sit in water or a couple days, sure it wasn't ideal but it allowed me to extend my watering times.

Seriously just try a tray and don't be afraid to over water as it will get sucked back up.

Either that or look into an automatic watering system, such as blumats or something else, since i've gone down that route with an arduino system i haven't looked back, i fill my reservoirs maybe once every 2 weeks sometimes longer, i haven't actually seen how long it takes to empty them as its longer than i need to worry about.

I will check the soil with the moisture meter later when i spray with overgrow(thats all shes scheduled for today).

I do have a small tray under the pot that would probably hold 4oz of water alone(i can check how much it holds exactly and maybe base my waterings off that)
so i will try to water 10-12oz next time i water.

I will update what i find out later about the tray's water capacity and might end up watering at that time based on soil moisture level instead of waiting until tomorrow.

And i will try to make sure i monitor the moisture level of the soil more closely to get a better idea of how much shes able to use in a certain amount of time.

Day 38.
Soil was a dry on the meter after giving 6oz just yesterday.

I gave 12oz water with 0.1ml mammoth p and sprayed with overgrow.

@Mr. Sparkle you were right. I actually didnt get much run off because the soil held the water better rather than sheding it because it wasnt so dry since i gave it 6oz yesterday.

So it seems i have been underwatering the entire grow.

I think i will be giving around 16oz every two days now. I will use my moisture meter to help dial it in further.

Shes looking good to me though.
10in tall now. She went another half inch in 24 hrs. Shes now 10in away from the light.

I wonder how much she will yeild.

Im setting my expectations low at 7g so i dont get let down. 20-30g would be my goal for this micro setup.

Im starting to think about what strain im going to pop next.

I want to stick with low smell strains until i know what my diy carbon filter and ona can handle. So far all is well and have not needed to get out the ona gel. No smell at all outside the box.

Choosing from some beans i have:
Short stuff [HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG]
G13 labs Northern lights auto
Nirvana Blue mystic auto
Or another Nirvana northern lights auto.

I would love to pop a dutch passion auto blueberry, mephisto HBSS, sweet seeds dark devil, sweet seeds black cream or a humbolt seed org blue dream auto but im not sure if they will stink too much.

Right now ive been thinking about the blue mystic mostly. I would like to have some variety of smoke.

I may have room to run 2 plants in seperate half gallon pots instead of one. So i could get another bean started sometime soon and maybe make my way towards some kind of perpetual grow.

Thinking i will stick with one plant at a time though incase i get a bushy pheno. But I could probably start another one soon since my current plant isnt too bushy.

Might just wait for this one to finish then just make my own fabric pot the same height as my current half gallon, but wider so i could lst better and just have one nice plant at a time.

Will take pics of what the inside of the box looks like later so you all can get an idea of what im working with and tell me what you think.
