Outdoor Smokey's 2020 Grow - Summer- Autumn Winter

Thanks Stew, Good idea Bro about the saucers the water runs out pretty easy, so i have to do it slowly, i supect summer would require 2 waterings daily, the upside NO risk of rot root with this beautiful pots, i like them also, best investment over the old paint bucket, when i harvested plants i noticed a slight wetness at the base of the pots. Big girls even in winter need water each day i think, maybe less if cloudy can get 2 days out then
I rarely water more than once or twice per week. When I water, I water thoroughly. Cheers!

I have to water Stew, the pots seem to dry and then girls let me know it buy not looking the best. I do think a saucer at the base migth be good. I wonder if the potting mix peopel forgot the wetting agent lol.

:coffee2: Today was cloudy and drizzle all day still cloudy, so i saved time and kept the girls under the T5s, autos and nims i left out underneath to get light that way. Durban grew into the light but the T5s are gentle so she didnt burn her

lol almost forgot them but only 10 min late so 5:10 lights out so lights on at 7:10 and to the sun at 8am

poor girls probably missed the day travelling around in their SUV i meant SUC ( steel utility cart) lol :D

Exactly SM, thinking also of a small fan to circulate air on the table, also, mould can take hold in this cooler weather esp if damp i would expect.

Air circulation, lower water amounts, and raise temps --> best ways to lower RH and avoid mold.

I also like to pull the little buds out away from the main stem mass, give them breathing room.

Defol near the end may help too, reduce leave mass which is transpiring water and open up for air flow.

Thanks SM, lower to water amounts that would water the girls in the mornings, raising temperatures more difficult at this time of year, but tarp should keep it slightly warmer than outdoors.

Something like little wood wedges ( small skewer sticks). I already do the tuck and clip of fans near the end, usually the fans look a bit toasted anyway

If you can... some kind of plastic.
No chance of retaining moisture in the wedging material.
I cut up plastic milk jugs to use. Also plastic tooth pics and plastic silverware and straws work well too for off the hip use.

Thanks GTG, shall use somekind of plastic instead, true the wood might soak it and get damp and defeat the purpose of the procedure. I'll see what i can find to use. Thanks for the luck :pass::d5:

Update - Today is SUNNY, though expecting late shower though, no signs yet even on the mountains ( i use the webcam at Beechmont to check)

On the right is Springbrook, the peak in the middle is Mt Warning in NSW and left is Lamington National Park. I am close to Springbrook - 25mins or more away.

Today, was pretty good, though i found some pests on Durban Poison, so will be running off to yandex image search to see what they are. Also transplanted ChemOG into her final pot, with mix of seaweed, fish and neem meal in the water to act as a pest control due to no gnat bti powder atm , mail is sooooooooo slow, even domestic.

Decided to get some fresh air in the mountain but left it a bit late so 5pm it wasnt the best light, in the cool temperate rainforest (cloud forest) around the highest part of Springbrook mountain., as usual it was pretty chilly up there.
