New Grower Slow journey to my first grow... sorta.

I got this pack of NCH from seedsman probably 3 years ago... Every seed in the pack so far has been a runt that never produced bud. I have a newer pack I could try popping seeds from.
Well that's a bit of good news to me. I got mine more recently. They are teeny little buggers though.

They did come in the original sealed breeders pack though, so these are. Seeds Mephisto put out there...

Yesterday was week 3, so today I top dressed with a little Biolive and fruit & flower. I watered it in with a little yucca and recharge. Then a few hours later I did some leaf tucking.

Ok so I was trying hard to not over water my plants. In doing so I think I let the soil get a little dry which caused some nutrient lock out. So I started watering a little more and the plants seem to be responding well... No monsters here but they are supposed to be small autos.

The NCH is obviously the runt... The smaller SN isn't flowering like the other plants so maybe it will catch up to our surpass the rest of them by the time it's done. And I wanted to show everyone the whole grow... Good and the bad. I think people don't like to share their faults when growing and then new growers get discouraged when everyone else has good grows and they struggle. Well everyone struggles, here is proof.

So my leaves are still curled down... I don't think I can correct that. Pretty sure they stay that way after you ruin them. But my curled leaves are now praying since I am watering them more. Next grow should be better than this one. But here is an update pic from this evening.

What do you think are the reasons for the leaves curling down, and why don't you think you can fix it?

I was under watering... This was leaving a lot of dry pockets in the soil... Soil biology wasn't alive... A side affect of the under watering was nitrogen toxicity. If I keep watering correctly this problem should go away, but the leaves may never look right again. Since I started watering more the leaves started "praying" which they didn't really ever do before. Clearly I needed to water more.

That is nitrogen toxicity causing the clawing. Too much N.

Week 6 update pics. Have high hopes for the next grow.. already narrowing down the strains I'll grow. I think we can make a lot of improvements next grow. But anyhow... Here we go with week 6 pics. I cleaned up the bottoms of the plants as I went along but today I cleaned them up a little more.
