I have been germing 3-5 days with lil to no results. Paper towel method, and cup water method was used. This is way I have always did I with good results. I'm not blaming anybody the fault could be on my end. Anyone else's JEMS have a slow germination process?

It's possible. Sometimes seeds just take longer, even if they're the same strain. Few more days to see how they go I reckon. You can improve their chances by keeping them warm (around 25c). :peace:

Bad Betty seeds also take A while to sprout, I'm thinking it's just genetic. Just keep them wet warm and dark and they should be fine

My AKR's are taking their time sprouting, making me nervous.
My White Jems had about a four day spread, one of them popped out of the ground the day after being planted, the next one was two days later, next one three days later, and the last one on the 4th day of being in the ground. All four had been soaked for 2 days in H2O.

Like other's said, a WARM spot will boost up germ rate. I use seedling flat heat mats to keep temps up when germinating early in the season when it is still pretty cold.
Have you germed other seeds recently? If so, you can narrow the problem down to this particular batch. Otherwise, it's harder to pinpoint the issue.

the Jems are breed outside...thus making the shell of the seed more ridged and harder...so germing make take alittle longer...:smoke:...give them sometime...if nothing...try CAREFULLY splitting the shell....germing karma sent bro...

I just had the same problem with mi5, some popped in 4 days while the others took 8 or 9. But in the end I had a 100% germ rate :D.. Im sure they will pop for ya.

Were you fussing them the whole time? Germing seeds hate to be messed with. If you keep opening the towel back up and peeking at them or moving them around from method to method they're gonna get pissed at you and refuse to come out. Your best bet is to choose one method, plunk them in your medium, and leave them alone except to water for a week.
