Photoperiod Sleazy goes on another Cannaventure!

Thanks for the rep RG! I didn't notice because Tapatalk doesn't mention it...

The fabric pot filter wasn't my idea, I read it somewhere a while ago and the idea stuck with me.

Ya I guess you can't see that, or who is a mod or anything on Tapatalk, so you gotta be polite to everyone :crying:
You coulda just said it was your idea, genius steals anyway lol.

Dang, I'd like to see you guys grow these beans. I'll tag both in my journal to see what you think. Btw I tried to rep you for the fabric pot idea, but I just did for your light build :pass:

I just started supercroping, it still terrifies me but so far it has worked, and I only did it after several very good growers said they loved it, and it also increased yield. But man, it has been the hardest HST I have tried yet!!
Yeah I don't have to courage to break them over yet lol?

I have super cropped the 4 tallest plants in my current grow a few times each in an effort to keep the canopy level. I think it would help more if I tied down the stems after I pinched them and leaned the tops over, but I have no horizontal room and nothing to tie them to.

They were all back to vertical in a few hours. A few days later the stem is really thick where I pinched and bent it, like a big round bulge in the stem.

I think as long as you go slow it's pretty safe. I don't know if it's a good idea this far into flower, but in the first week or two (and in veg) it seems to be a good tool to even out a canopy. It seems to slow the vertical growth of the pinched stem for a time allowing other shorter stems to catch up.

I agree with Animatey that it is better to do it earlier, but in a pinch it's better than the plants growing into the lights if nothing else can be done. On your next grow, try it if you wish on a smaller stem when the plants are younger and see what you think. I think I have killed my plant every time I have done it but soon I'll be used to it, and it's another tool to use if needed/wanted.

I've seen alot of people do it with great success I just hate hurting my babies lol. I think I'm fine for now if they stop stretching. My veg gear came in so when I get off of work in the morning it's fun time. I'm sure I'll run into some issues I'll need your help with. Sure is nice having you folks around. Have a great weekend everyone

I just un boxed my new veg light ( that I'm tickled to death to have). Mars hydro 150 watt white light qb knock off. So far I love it. Very sturdy and pretty big for 150 watts. Way bigger than my 200 true watt cob board. It is dimmable too. Can't wait to see how plants like it but it seemed really bright to me. So far I'm in love. I would say it's about equal to 200 - 250 watts of hid in my opinion. Gonna drop some new CV gear here real soon to test the tent out.

Definitely better than the plants growing into the lights! I think as long as the stem isn't too woody you can do it. Once the stem is real tough, you might snap the head off and accidentally top it...

Sleazy you are on your way to a fun weekend setting up a new tent! I love those times...

PS, how is the sweet and sour? Is it done curing yet, or still some more time in jars?

Congrats on the new light man. Im gonna follow along if you don't mind me doing so.

What's up man and thanks for asking about her. She is actually almost gone already. Ive about smoked her up. My last run before this was a disaster and I've been low on weed. She was a pretty good smoke. Probably my favorite mephisto I have grown. I've probably grown out 7 or 8 of their strains. She looked amazing and yielded decent. She stunk hard like melting Skittles and armpits . she had decent potency too but...... The flavor never really came thru. In not the greatest at drying and curing but I know good weed when I smoke it. She was high level mids but...... I'm in search of that special weed

Is tricky for sure to get a good dry and cure. I think for my next harvest I'm going to try the brown bag drying method since it's so dry where I live. It's a stickied post here somewhere and people really seem to like it when they try it. It's supposed to preserve a lot of flavors and smells.

I think autos just don't stink as much though. I did have a few autos that really stank, but it's less common it seems like.
