Definitely better than the plants growing into the lights! I think as long as the stem isn't too woody you can do it. Once the stem is real tough, you might snap the head off and accidentally top it...
That definitely did NOT happen last week.. Nope.. I never did that.. Ever... (crying and swearing at the same time).
Learning curve, and I always seem to learn the hard way, ahhhhh life...
Is tricky for sure to get a good dry and cure. I think for my next harvest I'm going to try the brown bag drying method since it's so dry where I live. It's a stickied post here somewhere and people really seem to like it when they try it. It's supposed to preserve a lot of flavors and smells.
I think autos just don't stink as much though. I did have a few autos that really stank, but it's less common it seems like.

I started drying/curing that way after reading that thread, done a few crops like that now and I'll never go back to any other way. No grass clippings smell, and it starts the cure while it dries. I picked up some of those mini hygrometers off Amazon, and throw them in the jars as I sometimes jar up too fast. If so, into the bag they go for half a day or as needed, and back in the jars. Love Boveda or similar products too once the ideal 62% has been reached. Those paper yard waste bags are great, I cut them in half as they are too tall but I can flip them around to all sides so the damp paper can dry. This is my table right now :smoking: Sorry 'bout the French, Canada EH? And I also shop at Value Village sometimes, damn pictures sure tell a lot. I always look at what's in the background of peoples pics, especially what is on their computer screen tabs if it is a screenshot
