Bad Betty and Sour 60 update...8 or 9 days not exactly sure...All seedlings are healthy but growth is slow
I honestly wouldn't suggest HF for seedlings. I would go with LW if starting or something along lines of a soilless mix...I'm just not seeing the results I was hoping for.

Ok, I have an update on The Sour Betty breeding project
Out of the 3 sour60's I recently planted only one survived. I woke up today and gave them a heavy watering before I went to work and what do you know... two dried out and died. It seems I just can't win
I'm guessing the reason is the water soaked at the top again, and didn't penetrate down far enough to stay wet. So next grow my medium will incorperate perlite and LW mixed in with the HF.

I think you will have better luck with the LW mixed with HF. Unfortunately I have seen a few growers have not such a great start with the LW alone. I know some did but I see too many on the flipside of it. You got survivors though!

Yea, I think the LW and HF combo will do alot better. HF alone seems to have to much nitrogen for starting seedlings IMO
