Indoor simple breeding tek???

for my next grow i will have a couple of different strains of af and saf going. 2 brands are feminised, the other 2 or reg...

what i am wanting to do is make seed for future use..

now if i get a male out of the reg seed that i planted or multiple ones.. wouldn't i pick the one i wanted to pass its traits, for me, i will probably just choose the biggest fastest growing one, and leave it to flower with the females...

w/out using a brush or anything to pollinate the pistols... wouldn't it pollinate anyway... then

i would then after a couple of weeks remove the male after shedding pollen into the air ... so that the whole harvest is not seed

is this bad practice, this has basically happened to me before, yet it was a hermie situation and unplannned/unwanted

any knowledge appreciated ...

BTW the way you mention you'd likley end up almost fully seeded, just do a branch at a time or something similar...

I made this mistake before. I made like 1400 seeds... got almost no smoke. surffreak23 is spot on.

ok ok... so it is wise to collect and brush, because smoke is part of this project too.... im gonna check that link......... allways searchin an easier way <--- not the best way

would recommend just pollinating the lower branches. You'll still get plenty of seeds & still have good unseeded buds at the top for smoke. Or be like Joe Dirt & have enough seeds to last a lifetime with one run! HA!

here is an update on this idea... the plant out of my 6 were growing turned out to be a hermie with only a few male flowers to start... now she has white hairs/pistols all over her tops... now if she/he pollinated the other plants int the room would they be fem seed with possible herm tendencies ..
