New Grower Should i soak the new soil and let it settle first before adding seed?

Thanks guys. Although I'm not new, I'm just new to autos. I've a bluelab Ph pen and a blue lab truncheon for EC, both get regularly cleaned/calibrated.

My first time growing Autoflowers I screwed up by not paying any attention to the Ph and guess what ? All that waiting and the Plants never grew any Buds !! Lesson Learned. Always check the Ph and add Ph Up or Down if needed to get your Ph Level to between 5.5-6.5. (6 Marks the Spot.)
