i have no experience with leds but i hear there just as good.should i replace my 400w hps with two 120w leds? i dont want to loose out on yield but a lower bill and less heat sound nice.

I will say in the past I didnt find LEDS stood the test of penetration... but it seems that may have changed...

I personally have been very dissapointed with HTG supply in the past... I'd reccomend a Blackstar LED if you 're gonna get one...

Replace your hps with a 400w CMH bulb man. You wouldn't even need to change the ballast unless it is an electronic one.
All in all a bit less heat, less stretch, and more resin (from uv).
There are many posts about them here that talk about them in detail.
I'd highly recommend them to you.

He will save power consumption from leds yes, but will also save tons of money by just upgrading to CMH.
How much money will he save per month by lowering his wattage by half ?
How many months (or years) will it take for him to compensate for the extremely high costs of these LED units, which are hit and miss from what I've seen around forums.
All questions that need to be taken into consideration imho.
If heat is such a problem just get a hood or cooltube for around 40-50 bucks and your wallet would still be thanking you.
The light spectrum on these CMH bulbs is truly unmatched anywhere.
