Your situation sounds very similar to what mine was. I can fit 4 three gallon pots or 6 two gallon in my area. I was running the same bulb, and my temps were hitting as high as 105 degrees. Since switching to the LED my temps now stay within 2 degrees of the house temp as I'm drawing from inside the house. This time of year the AC is running during the day so the temps stay right around 80. My best grow so far was some Mi5 that yielded 265 grams from 4 plants, 1.48 grams per watt. I've got more Mi5 started for my next grow and with some changes in feeding I'm hoping to push the yield up to around 330 grams or 1.9 grams per watt. Still not the magical 2 but darn close. As I said before, without the LED I couldn't grow in this little area, with it I can. I'm very please with the results so far and as to the cost, the first grow more and paid me back for the $500 I spent on the light.

i appreciate all of you guys for the replies..heres my setup so you guys have an idea. 400w hps hortlux, digital ballast, a huge ass reflector. a tent that holds 6 two gallon pots. carbon filter/fan combo. temps average 88-90 degrees. lately its been 98-100 degrees out side and my tent was 96 degrees. forcing me to run my central air unit nearly all day. that alone can have my electric bill sky high.right now out that tent i get 4 ounces of autos every 2 months.really not worth growing but i love autos.i also have in the same closet a dr40 tent with 1 non auto strain on 12/12 and that alone is getting me 3 ounces with just 150w hps. more worth it.during the winter im fine with this setup..but from april-october. bill is high as ever. my fear is that i spend $600 bucks on leds, still have heat issues.and loose out on yield.
