I've been growing a year now, and my plants have been in Ocean Forest. It's decent soil, but as we all know, the pH values can be a roller coaster ride. I made the decision to switch to Pro-Mix HP and have that product ready to go.
I just did an outdoor auto harvest so I have time to do one more grow before the season gets too cool. One will be a Blue Dream auto and the other is a Tangie'matic. I'll plant them in 5G fabric containers after starting them in rapid rooters held in solo cups by Light Warrior starter soil. I use Advanced Nutrients and have a good supply of Micro-Grow-Bloom so I don't plan to switch off of this lineup.
My question is how often to feed nutes since I'll be also be needing to water frequently during these hot days. On the plants I just finished in OF, I fed once or twice a week, but they were bone dry daily and wilting so I had to water them with plain pH'd water knowing the OF had some nutrients in the soil. Pro-mix wont have this organic element, so I'm trying to figure how to water and feed w/o over feeding the plants.
If anyone grows outside in a climate that is like mine (SC) in Pro-Mix in containers, I sure wish you'd help me get started the right way. THANKS!!!!
