Chop Day - Day 79 - SSSDp 1:

Had a beautiful morning to chop this girl, so I decided that 79 days was going to be enough. Big buds throughout, much better bud structure then the SSSDg buds. These buds were hard, not rockhard, but 7.5-8 out of 10 hard. Lots of larf down low where the light had trouble getting. That will be used in my hashmaking later on. Had the time to do a full wet trim, so no need to use my generic "cannabrush" this time. She did not have that same "citrus" aroma that I found on the SSSDg, but she had a very pleasant red/slight berry/maybe even sweet aroma. Purpling throughout the bud and sugar leaves. She was very sticky, very very sticky! The wet weight estimate say that a 1 gallon pot should provide about 40 grams dry weight. Very happy with this number. All in all, before the smoke/vape test, this would be my favorite between the SSSDg and the SSSDp pheno's. Now some pictures:

Yayaya looking dense

Another beautiful morning to work outside, soooo CHOP DAY!!!

Chop Day - Day 76 - SSSDss 8

Had to take this shot. Lots of foxtailing, very dense, almost rock-hard buds from the ss pheno (sweet & sour). All 3 of the ss pheno's I chopped today were very similar with rock-hard buds, some foxtailing to a large amount of foxtailing. Very stinky, chemically sour citrus, almost makes you pull away it is so acrid. And it was a breezy day outside, and the smell just lingered. No estimated dry weights as I only did a quick wet trim and then into bags for the drying. More pictures to come later!

Chop Day - Day 74 - RocBudInc Frosted Cookies

She was a totally abused girl from the start. She took the hit of the TDS Meter failure the worst since she was right in late veg and starting flower. After I got everything straightened away, she did not have 1/3 of her original fan leaves, and those she was able to keep were half dead. But she took all that and still produced a "normal" number for me in my grow scenario's of 1 gallon square buckets, hitting a mark of 44 grams estimated dry. Needless to say, because she had dropped more than half of her fans, she was a quick trim. She wasn't overly smelly, but because of the problems I had with overfeeding her b/c of a TDS meter failure, I wouldn't take that as the bible for any of your future grows of this cross. Very typical cookie structure, not overly elongated buds, but more golfball or Dbattery type buds and very dense bordering on rockhard. She has a citrus aroma, almost lemon cleaner like aroma. Very pleasant. I will definitely be growing her again soon. Not many good photo's as she wasn't a beauty through no fault of her own...

This Fall's breeding project involves Mandalorian Genetics Anvil, Mephisto's 24 Carat, and my own mashup of Stone Dragon x 24 Carat. My goal is to recreate Anvil. I have almost gone through a 10 pack of regs in order to get 3 viable plants. I will also use the pollen leftover to create Anvil x 24 Carat and Anvil x GD (Gold Dragon = Stone Dragon x 24 Carat). If I don't get a male from the 3 Anvils I currently have, I will turn one of them using STS to get the pollen needed. The 3 Anvils are not very big, 2 of them are day 30 and 1 of them is day 25. 1 of the 2 Day 30 Anvils is ~2"-3" bigeer then the other 2 Anvils, so I have hope that will be a male. The reason they are at Day 30 without showing sex is that they were very slow to leave to seedling stage. By my count, 7-10 days behind where they should be. They seem to be changing everyday, so I don't think it will be much longer before I know what we have in terms of gender. In preparation, I have started (2) 24 Carat seeds today as I hope to have the timing right for pollination. I will start (2) Gold Dragon later this week.

Pictures will be coming later this week.

Good rainy evening, been a minute since I last updated. The theme for this update is most aptly, "...The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry...".

So, I have yet to see any pollen from my reversed Anvil, purple buds with pollen sacks sticking through the buds, but to date empty pollen sacks. I decided to do a zig-zag, and take the 24 Carat I had started for pollenation by the sts reversed Anvil, and reverse it. The end game would be 24 Carat pollen would then be used to pollinate a new Anvil that has since been planted. The only problem with the change of plans is that I had started (2) Stone Dragon x 24 Carat with hopes of also dropping some Anvil pollen on them. I am thinking now I will drop some of the 24 Carat pollen on this to bring it back closer to 24 Carat and see how that works out. It would then be (24 Carat x (Stone Dragon x 24 Carat)). If the reversal of the 24 Carat fails, my final try will be to reverse the last Anvil and just save the pollen until I can acquire additional Anvil seeds and start some more Stone Dragon x 24 Carat seeds. Trying to move quick on my feet to help overcome my failures.

So I do have some photographs from my flower cabinet of the Anvil's (#1 and #2) and a RocBudInc Slurricane. They are doing very well, and look right on par to most plants that come through my closet and style of grow. The genetics used in the RB Slurricane have produced some early frosty buds, but the proof in the pudding will be after she has been "tested". Most of this will be enjoyed by my buddies as xmas or late-xmas presents. I also have 3 additional plants at the seedling stage. These are from Twisted Tree Genetics. They are Crinkle Cut, Nova OG, and Twisted Menagerie. These genetics have proven to be very vigorous to germinate and reach for the lights. I have high hopes for these genetics . Now the pictures.

Structure is great on Anvil #1 and trich production excellent on #2. I’ll be interested in your opinion of RBI. I have iced gushers, but haven’t grown her yet.
The breeding didn’t go as planned, but the 24Ct back cross should be excellent. My fave

Yes, seemed the only way to salvage a couple of months planning was to use the 24 Carat as the pollinator. Hoping that I can get a bit of Anvil pollen from my first sts reversal attempt to make some Anvil seeds. I am blown away by the beauty of the Anvil dark purple buds. If the meds are half as good as the looks, she could become a staple in my garden.

Chop Day!!!

Anvil 1 and Anvil 2 were chopped this morning on Day 91. Both of these ladies stalled a bit, likely 7-10 days, so even though it was 91 days I only saw ~10- to 20% amber while viewing the trichs through the scope. They both seemed to be throwing out new pistils for the last 2 weeks, even though I had reduced the MegaCrop from 3 grams to 2 grams in order to keep below 500ppm during late flower. Both of these ladies were traumatized by my lack of growing skills and inability to read their distress before it was too late. There was a overfeeding issue, that was ultimately caused by a bad battery on my tds meter. Before I diagnosed the bad battery, I thought it was a Calmag problem, typical noob mistake, and was throwing large amounts of Calmag at it in an attempt to thwart what I thought was the problem. Anyway, we got all that straightened out and they were issue-free the final third of the grow. They packed on plenty of weight as well as they are on the large side of plants grown by my method in my cab with my pots. They were near identical at 261 grams wet apiece, which will be approximately 60 grams dry per plant. Anvil 2 was the taller girl, while Anvil 1 was a few inches smaller but made up for her lack of height with more substantial satellite cola's. All my Anvils were a chore to get started, but after they got their footing have been a pleasure to grow. These buds will be my first attempt at making "Iced Dragon Tincture". More on that later. For now, enjoy the pictures, they were some beautiful girls!

Wow, forgot to update this page, been almost a month. This is from December 10th......

RocBudInc Grape Slurricane Auto - Chop Day!! - Day 77 - There was enough amber in the scope, coupled with some very busy days upcoming in the household along with my part-time job at Christmas to make the decision to take this girl 3-5 days earlier then I would have liked under ideal conditions. She was in a 3 gallon airpot, and was not needy during her time in the cabinet. She produced well, typical for the size pot and environment I use, settling in at 265grams wet, or 61 grams dry. She will mostly be gifted to friends as I am up to my ears in personal meds. Her sugar leaves are going to be am additional gift as they were encrusted with frost. I believe they will produce larger then average amounts of kief. My wife helped out with trimming, and commented how much she stunk compared to other plants she has helped me with. Pretty much ran her in soil at 6.2 to 6.4 ph, with MegaCrop and Sweet Candy during her veg and MC and Bud Explosion during flower to chop. My goal is to feed every watering and keep ppm's at ~500ppm. I do use RO water rather then house water. Enjoy the pictures...
