Mephisto Genetics Seymourbud's Soapbox

Well, we have had another pardon. Not a presidential pardon like Peas and Carrots got, but Seymourbud pardon for one more week for the Grape Walker Kush. This morning, the day after the pardon was issued, I found one of her branches bent/cracked from the weight of the cola. She is showing no signs of giving up, no leaves are yellowing, she isn't putting up a fit at the heavy-handed nutes, she is just rolling along. Although I do think she might be adding on more frost, if that is even possible. A six day stay of execution. Get you personal matters in order.

So now to some halftime analytics. So for this grow, I used 4 of @BigSm0 's autocobs, the 55w variety, for a total of 220watts. For the two plants chopped and harvested, Strawberry Nuggets and Blue Toof Special, the dry weight is 131 grams. So to date for this grow, 131 grams/ 220watts = ~.60 grams/watt. Not great as both of the strains are small-medium plants. But I think the next two plants will be at least that much (or maybe more) which will put the grow over 1.2 grams per watt. I think it can be better, and will with plants that are larger, but I am happy with those numbers for a grow that was basically on cruise control from day 30 on. Autocobs+MegaCrop+Mephisto=WIN!
Do U know what are the PPFD values are? I would be interested for the 55W.
I am running 3 lights at 2300W with a combo of LED and COB, esch chosen for high PAR/PPFD values - I looked at the values at 18".

Not sure, they are @BigSm0 autocobs. Maybe someone (or bigsm0) will chime in and I can learn something. Lemme go look through his thread and see if I can find some info about PPFD today.

I have never seen an actual 2300 watt led. Most likely less efficient square cobs and mars hydro epistar leds. What you are putting in vs getting out is what’s important. I’d bet it was extremely low. I do have some ppfd numbers that were taken with an apogee. I just warn anyone looking at par numbers to understand this is one of the easiest and most manipulated things I find. Besides wattage equivalent multipliers. The autocob is 65 watts with the newer version cob. My morals keep me from labeling it as a 500w light but I am sure it would boost sales.

Not actually a single 2300 Watts, 3 lights -@ 900W, 800W and 600 W.

Got my GWK, extremely happy that I don't have to pollen chuck to get some more. Also grabbed Gold Glue at almost 50% off!!! Hopefully everyone took advantage of this as I have it growing now it does not disappoint. Not very fussy, solid chunky buds/cola's. And the smell of fruit, over-ripened fruit bordering on rotten fruit. If she smokes anywhere near as good as she looks and smells, then this might be the best Black Friday (seed) gift ever.

Also added to the existing numbers by grabbing 5 packs of Deez Nuggets, Sweet & Sour, Jammy Dodgers, and Ghost Toof. And last but not least, after all the fuss the last 4-6 weeks with everyone growing White Crack, I added to the numbers I already have of it by grabbing another 7 pack. Now if some Blue Toof Special shows up as freebies, I may never have to buy another seed again. Who the Frick am I kidding, I will be feeding the addiction again soon enough.

It’s crazy how much hype I see for blue toof every time it gets brought up. I’ve got a pair of blue toof special beans I got with my order from the limited edition drop earlier this year. If I get more with my Black Friday order I may have no choice but to run one and see what all the hype is about.

Sick line-up @Seymourbud. Nice varieties of illuminatos aswell. Got myself some GWK also, along with GG, CDLC, forgotten cookies etc. BTS would definitely be win-win! Real exited to see your Gold Glue finish and hear your thoughts.

@Tiny Bubbles , if you run her, I don't think you will be disappointed. I can only talk about the grow, which she handled without issue. And the smell, my goodness the smell is to die for. Ripe mango's, the smell is so over the top you can't stop sticking your face in the bush. In the jar, she actually has a blue-ish tint. Compared to the other jars I keep with her, they definitely are a different color/shade of green. If you don't have time for them, I am sure we could work out a trade....

@nicojellic ,I wanted some of the CDLC, but I my thinking was to buy Illuminautos now since once they are gone, they are gone. CDLC being an artisanal should be around for a bit. Again, the hype train has been strong recently with a bunch of growers documenting their CDLC grows. But I would also like to buy a couple of the originals like Toof Decay and 24 Carat. But for now, I figured I would just buy strain that have a limited selling life that have those strains in their parentage (Ghost Toof and Sweet & Sour for Toof Decay, and Jammy Dodgers and Deez Nuggets for 24 Carats.).

As for the Gold Glue, I had originally planned for her to go 75 days. And today is day 67. She is reallt fattening up. Even though she is small, I think she is going to yield well. She is similar in stature to the Sour Crack I grew, but I believe she will out-yield the SC. SC was ~35 grams, for the Gold Glue I am hopeful she will yield ~50+ grams. Tomorrow I am chopping the GWK at day 90. I will take pictures of the Gold Glue and post them with the chop pictures of GWK.

The handwriting has been on the wall for a week. Chop day for Grape Walker Kush, Day 91. Didn't even bother to scope it out, I figured it is what it will be. No sense wishing I had done it 8 days earlier. She absolutely Reaks. Notice the capital "R". Her buds are mostly well formed, but not rock hard. Lots of sugar leaves and fans, even though I was continuously defoliating through the last 1/3 of the grow. Buds were not wispy, just not solid . She yielded well as the total of buds was 320grams wet (or ~80grams dry). All in all, I enjoyed the grow, just not the trimming. Took about 3-4 hours. Some lower buds I haven't trimmed yet. They won't count towards the total. And a helluva lot of sugar leaves and trim that will be use in the dry rosin process. Now some pictures...
