self pollinating to create more seeds.

Nothing here yet either, but it's only been four days haha! I have to say it's pretty darn healthy though. Had an issue with light getting down onto the cutting through the Aerogarden grow deck so I put more foil over it. I know it's just a clone and we have all seen them but whatever here's a couple pics :)

For those unfamiliar with the Aerogarden here is where the clone is resting and hopefully where the roots will emerge from:

I've decided when the roots show I am going to immediately switch back to veg nutes, it just makes sense. I will have to keep a close eye on the changed hairs after spraying and then switch back to flowering nutes as soon as the first signs of male flowers show. Seems like a lot of work but in a way it's kind of like driving a manual transmission, everything in order...

Hey guys, I looked around a bit and finally found the thread where I clones and auto... It was a kvs, starts around post #12
https://www.autoflower.org/showthread.php?t=18962
:karma Cloud: on your project, cloning an auto is certainly possible, reversing the clone can be done as well... To clone an auto is pointless, you see the results... For using to get pollen without reversing a entire plant, seems like a brilliant idea, as seeing as a very little pollen goes a long ways, you only seed one good solid stick of sacs, :tiphat:
:Sharing One:
It's all about EXPERIMENTING! It's the best way to learn new things and to possibly discover something new along the way....

Thanks Yodabuds!! That's all I'm hoping for, just a stick with some pollen flowers on it. Nothing else. Thanks for the Karma too :) I haven't read the thread you shared but will now.

Just checked the thread. That is exactly what I was hoping for, only reversed of course. That is the ideal for me, if timing allows of course. We shall see, but man you just hit my happy button with that pic at the end! Exactly what I was envisioning

Day Seven, roots forming! First part of my experimental "protocol" a success! I will do a nute change tomorrow back to 1/4 strength veg formula.

Edit: Oops! Forgot the other pic of what she looks like above the water:

She's starting to look a little yellow at the top, growth is small. This should only be temporary as the root system gets bigger and starts absorbing nutes properly.

Edit 2: Forgot to mention that I have a batch of fresh CS brewing tonight as well, just to be a step ahead. I will start spraying the second I see preflowers.

Edit 3: Sheesh! Also, yesterday the first preflowers were noted on the mother plant.

Decided to go ahead and do the nute change tonight, no sense in waiting.

If your cutting the top fo your plant? If so,those are naturally a bit harder to root, or take longer, due to the hormone ratio's at the growth tip on the top of the plant. Good job seeing roots so soon.

Also, how is the parent plant looking, if you did top it?

The parent is great! I have a thread on her here:
https://www.autoflower.org/f5/spliff-seeds-white-widow-automatic-34783.html

This was a bottom shoot that was taken quite early, 22 days after sprout to be exact.

I was truly surprised to see roots this fast. I don't know if it's the DWC that the Aerogarden provides or the fact that I had the bloom nute ratio for the added phosphorus that I kept reading about online. Probably just an ideal mix of everything, including temp and humidity.

I can't see this happening this quick in the dead of winter but if all goes as planned I will definitely be finding out!

Nice.. Yours are moving along so much faster... I don't have any updates. I've been spraying a couple bottom branches on 1 of each as well as two cuttings, I am giving the other two cuttings a lil more time and then I'll start spraying them. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll notice something and have something to share..
