New Grower Seeds of Life - Hindiana & Nordika

Lookin good bro.

Been meaning to get back to you about Toolish Bands. But been way too busy on the farm the last few days.

I'll meet you on the other side in a couple of days, but in the mean time why can't we can't we just be sober?

:peace:

Because....

Some say the end is near, some say we'll see Armageddon soon. ;)

The plants have fattened up even more today but gonna leave the pics until tomorrow. yesterdays are still fresh enough lol.

:peace:

Impressive, RF!! I'd have to say they took to the LST nicely! So many stalks, really nice example... I'm subbed to this grow too, now, so I can pay attention! :bong:

Ok RF, I finally found some time to share with you (and sapphire) some of the bands that I have discovered over the last few years that are as close to Tool's genre as I have discovered thus far. Always open to discover more new bands that are similar though, even though I'm a child of the 70's.

You may already know of some or all of these bands, but just in case you haven't I believe it would be worth your time to check them out. All these bands are progressive metal with the exception of the last one.

The last band I discovered a couple of years ago are Riverside, they are from Warsaw, Poland, but vocals are in English. This goes as well for the other European bands where English is not their primary language. This is their first CD ( I believe they have 6 +. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zrbhzjo6O0

Everygrey. These guys are from Sweden. This is concept CD about a dude who has been or believes he has been abducted by aliens.

Porcupine Tree( from England). Steve Wilson leader of band is a completely self-taught musician and engineer has a least a dozen CDs out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dvxBm0YjlI

OSI: This US band is just a studio band comprised of members from other prog metal groups. They have out 4 studio albums out. Personally I can't get enough of them.

This is just a sampling of what I listen too. You can go down the YouTube rabbit hole to find other bands from these links, unless of course you already know of them.

This last band 16 Horse Power is so far from what I typically listen too. But there is just something that I really like about their sound. Woven Hand is the singer/leaders other band. I listen to them all the time, also.

Enjoy, unless, like I said you already know of these bands.

Very nice selection, SM... It's all new to me so I clicked all the links to give them each a listen. I think one of the full-length albums will be my trimming music later this morning!

:smoke::smokebuds:

That's awesome dude thank you. It gets harder and harder to find new and interesting music these days.

I have heard of Porcupine Tree and Everygrey but never actually listened to them so they'll be first on the playlist but I'll work through them all and let you know what I think. Much appreciated dude.

Right, update time...

And in no particular order (because I keep loading way too many photos) here they are on

I have always been a big time music lover.
First album I bought when I was 10 years old was Black Sabbath Paranoid.
Got to see them live in 1973 when Ozzy was still with them.

I still remember the first time I ever listened to a audiophile grade sound system when I was 15. It was as if I had never even really heard music before, like a revealation. So, I bought a very nice home sound system before I even bought a car. That's how much I have always loved to listen to music. Even though I have 1000's of CDs, I'm always on the hunt for new music, so if and when you have time shoot me some of your other fav bands.

When I'm working I have a set of earbuds welded into my ears.

If you like what I sent, I have so much more, both old and new, lots of obscure stuff. Completely non main stream music. Just let me know if you want some more band names. I love to share music.

Have you heard of FrostWire? It's a peer to peer file sharing site, where can download whole discographies of every band imaginable. I use it all the time, and haven't had any problems with it in the year I've been downloading music from it.
