seedling health check & when to take dome off?

With your soil and the amount and how you water , I believe your soil moisture content may be a issue , give it about 50 mls of water around the plant . What will help if you can scrape some dirt down a inch or so and see how damp the soil is . I am leaning towards the soil being to dry .

Amount of perlite in the picture is a bit misleading....Perlite bag came a few days late, so only top 1/4th of fabric pot is perlite mixed with soil....bottom 3/4th is just straight soil lol....

I put my finger in and its still slightly damp about a fingers length down. Should I water more?

You can just hang a wet towel in the tent with one end in a bucket of water and aim your fan past it. It is not elegant but it gets the job done. For future reference it is not a good practice to stratify the soil like you did with the Perlite. The problem is you will have two different wet zones, the perlite zone will dry out faster than the part without it.

I am having issues exactly as described by @hecno. The middle part of my pot struggles to retain water. Hard to keep it moist enough without overwatering.

Don't know if it's the case here, but definitely to watch for..

Here is a brief out line , I never let my soil be dry , even from seeding stage , just remember , you are looking after the soil as well as the plant.
Soil Water
Soil water characteristics are determined by soil particles and their sizes, the soil type, as well as by the pores between the particles. The narrower the pores, the higher the capillary rise of the soil water (see Figure 4).
The forces influencing the soil water are:
  • adhesion, which attracts the soil water to soil particles;
  • cohesion, which attracts water molecule among themselves; and
  • apillarity, which lets water move against the gravity force. Capillarity is an important factor in soil salinization processes.
Soil water is differentiated as follows:
  • Gravitational water is soil water moving through the soil as influenced by gravitation. It is not plant available.
  • Capillary water (also called soil solution) is water in the micropores of the soil and is held against the force of gravity. Capillary water is held by cohesion and adhesion and most of it is plant available.
  • Hygroscopic water is held very tightly on the surfaces of soil particles. Clay holds more hygroscopic water than sand. This part of the soil water is not plant available.
A soil is saturated when all soil pores are filled with water, which normally occurs after sufficient precipitation or irrigation. Field capacity refers to the soil moisture content after all gravitational water has drained. The wilting point is the soil moisture percentage where plants are unable to take up sufficient water for growing.

Hey @St. Tom @hecno and @others,

Not much growth happening. I know i'm looking at it daily but I'm still anxious on whether my seedling is stunted or just slow growing...Its day 11 and most people are on their 3rd/4th nodes by now...I'm still on my 2nd and my leaves are still pretty small...

Should I replant or see it through? I know the VPD is not ideal but, is there anything else I can do besides replanting?

As you say your looking at her hourly and at day 11 she looks OK to me and don't repot her at all she's fine and I've had plants that are way slower than other strains and don't be judging against other people's and if you leave her you will be fine. Also vpd is more for pro growers who have there environment dialed in as a quide and as I've already told you I can still grow at 50 rh

Hi there @Revenger420
I have similar experience as yours
I feel like my autoflower is stunted and has similar size as yours on day 10

How were you going with it? did it grow successfully?

what did you do with it to make it grow?

cheers
