Hi! Above picture is a picture of my first seedling. Its about day 5 and am wondering if she looks good/healthy?

mephisto sour crack in 3 gallon (11L) fabric pot
Lights: SF 1000
Medium: "Organic" Soil
Humidity: 45-55% RH outside dome, inside dome maybe 60%?
Temps: 22 to 25 celsius (71-77 F)

Watering: Fully soaked soil, 24h then popped seeds in, only misting top soil / humidity dome

Top soil is getting drier and pot is getting lighter, might water in a spiral soon. Wondering how long I should keep the dome on for? When I take it off, i see water droplets on the seedling. Not sure if its a good or bad thing.

First real set of leaves are growing slowly (compared to other grows i see). Might have stunted it? Temperature and light on/off schedule was not consistent

Definitely have new grower's anxiety/impatience so any veteran growers please lend me your wisdom!

she looks great brother and i only leave the dome on for the first day or so also with a dome on they can stretch a little to much also how high is your light

hey brother, light is about 24" above the top of the seedling. My tent's RH is about 45-50% if i don't mist the walls. Is that ok or is it a bit low for the seedling phase? Thats why I'm curious about taking off the dome early but I'll take it off for now and see how she goes in the next 12hrs.

your humidity could be a bit higher but i can grow year-round with it at 50rh also just keep your eye on her to make sure shes not stretching to much looking for the light

Hey St.Tom, so its been about 24 hours and theres not much growth compared to the picture i posted yesterday.... Is my seedling stunted? humidity is still around 50%.... according to the VPD chart, the temp/humidity in my tent is not optimal....

Honestly a lot of the growth is going underground seedlings really don't grow much daily so just have a little patience but I know it's hard looking at her all the time and if you really want to get it optimal in there you could buy a cheap humidifier to help along the veg phase but don't put the dome back on m8

Humidity and temps relate to age and at the stage you are at , 80% humidity and 26 c is good at this stage , It will help make the seedling spend more of its time on energy building roots . first 10 days . You said you had organic soil . I see there is a lot of perlite [ white things ] loading soil with that means you will have to keep a eye on moisture levels , Aim for very little run off at any time . Not at this stage , but later on . The secret is balancing soil moisture to the amount you water . with organic to much run off is stripping the soil . Which means later on you have to feed them a lot more . The reason for high temp and humidity is it slows down the evaporation rate , so the plant is spending more time growing roots . again , first 10 days give or take .

Damn @hecno , huge fan of your thread. thanks for coming in.

i'll try listen to @St. Tom and try not to stare / worry too much. Temps are at 26c and 50% RH...i'll continue misting the walls, don't think the humidifier is in my budget for now. Just worried about stunting them due to lack of moisture in the air but she seems to still be praying towards the light and not stretching so hopefully that means the roots are developing....

Hey guys, hows this seedling looking....Approx day 9. Second set of leaves starting to grow a bit bigger, but progress is still slow compared to alot of other grows....Have only watered very slightly in a circle around the edge of the pot. (pH 6.3, evaporated tap water)

I also bought AN micro/bloom/grow nutes, might feed next week or maybe when there are more nodes/leaves....I'm just worried the seedling is stunted..

With your soil and the amount and how you water , I believe your soil moisture content may be a issue , give it about 50 mls of water around the plant . What will help if you can scrape some dirt down a inch or so and see how damp the soil is . I am leaning towards the soil being to dry .
