New Grower Seed to soil germination method: 1st grow in many years

Hey dude.. If you're going organic, pH down is probably a bit of No-no. (Not sure if anyone said already)

White vinegar (distilled, not the wine one) is the answer my man.. And bicarbonate of soda for pH up if you need it. [emoji111]️

I'm using earth juice which is pure citric acid, it is considered a weak organic acid.. didn't research it much but I think it's good..

That sounds good to me, I bought the DutchPro one, I think it's nitric acid.. Great for unblocking drains, not good for the mud tho! [emoji6]

OK guys, this is the 2nd day above soil and these are TINY. Do ya'll start counting days as soon as it sprouts? Cus yesterday these things didn't even have leaves yet. Is this day 2 or? There was progress since yesterday so I'm happy! Also the soil looks funky cus I top dressed it with some extra azomite, I just dropped it right on top cus it contains silica hoping to make these nice and strong.

Nothing like planting my babies in the middle of a heat wave, temps have been brutal to say the least so they haven't been getting as much light as they should. All in all they are both healthy in less than ideal conditions so I'm happy. Not much new growth but I'll update later on today.

Welcome to AFN, you will find all the help you need here and a lot of people having fun. I guess I can add my germ method, the old soak, poke and pray method. Soak in filtered water until the seed sinks and stays on the bottom of the glass for 5 or 6 hours, poke a shallow hole (1/2in) in the center of the pot, plant and pray. I get about 90% up and since I am retired I can keep the soil moist for the 2 or 3 days it takes to pop. I have only been growing for 4 years and only autos so I can't help as much as others but I can advise to feed less than you think until you get a grow or two under your belt. Try and let the tap water stand for a while (24hrs) so the chems evaporate before using. Good luck and good grow karma.
