New Grower Second Timer - DP Auto Night Queen In DWC

Agreed with the staggered harvest. I almost always do it that way anyway. You can always let a plant go for three to five days longer and have no ill efffects. I am always looking to harvest with minimal amber unless it's a Sativa. I have enough couch lock weed to literally lock me there for five years. I like my dope a little bit more up in my head with cerebral effects at the max priority. My brain can function at least a little better, when I get the long cure, indicas, with the 25% amber or more, I can barely function unless I nap an hour first.

Old man syndrome I guess...:baked:

I guess I have always hoped for the same day harvest because of late grow feeding schedule that calls for Overdrive during the last two weeks and flawless flush for the last few days. Have to make compromises on one plant or the other. Now I sweat that stuff less.

Remember one of the most important things in growing we all eventually learn, grow the plant in front of you, not the one one the schedule that says it should be this or that...genetics are funny bro. Environmental variables add to it, but I learned just to use the schedule as a guide, but also to watch the plants and see how they react and where they are in their development, not where they are on the calendar. If you want to grow the best version of each strain, and we all do, you have to grow it as an individual plant. Even strains I have grown over and over are still different each time to some degree and I have to adjust.

Still the most important lesson I have learned about this hobby! Thanks Med.

Day 60

WeekThree of flowering

The plants have continued to thrive with me out of the way these last few days. I guess they are telling me that they don’t need me! Ha ha!

What a wonderful aroma of strawberries cream and spice! I can’t wait to taste this weed.

Definitely two different phenos. Queen 1 has accelerated her growth. Her colas are already stacked with buds and starting to get a couple red hairs. Less white hairs too. I am watching her, but think I will have to add overdrive next week, as I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for her.

Queen 2 is showing no signs of slowing down in her bud building, although she is now about a week behind the quicker plant. She is taller and has lighter buds. More spacing between nodes, but it looks like she will fill those spaces up.

Interesting how different the plants are. This flower show is always the most exciting part of the grow for me!

Happy New Year, my friends!

Yeah! Really nice. Tops galore!

Thanks DG! Yeah, and they are getting really thick. I have to really stay on top of defoliating to maintain airflow within the canopy. It's a challenge, as these plants have already filled my little space up!

Queen 1's colas are already really thick and dense. Both plants are so sticky that I now have to wear gloves, and continually clean my scissors just to defoliate them. I don't remember having that problem at this point in flower with my first grow. This strain really is amazing. I will be growing again in 2019 for sure.
