New Grower Second Timer - DP Auto Night Queen In DWC

Those look AWESOME for 7 days old! Really excited for this grow. Good things are happening out in the garage, I can tell.

Thanks DG! So far so good! I am already impressed with the genetics. If they flower and finish on time, I will be more than impressed.

Crazy that I am now considering adding heating though, after my summer temps. The garage is no joke on either end of the temp spectrum!

PPM is around 500, and ph is holding at 6.1 (Thanks AN Ph Perfect!). The temperature does get down to 68 at the low point, but hovers around 75 most of the time. I might have to consider some heating solution for a small space as temps drop in the garage. @Mañ'O'Green @MedCzech Any suggestions for an effective small space heater that won't affect humidity negatively?

A small oil filled heater can be used inside of the tent. Ridged foam insulation is also easy to add to the outside of a tent.

Thanks MOG! Will look into that as temps decreases. I am striving to maintain optimal environment from now on!

But does that say 700 watts. I don't think I will be needing something that powerful, probably will only need to increase 5 degrees or so for part of the night. i might have to get creative.

Almost impossible to get a heater that won't lower humidity, that's just what they do. Get the ink bird system to help regulate temps, and hook a simple space heater to it. You can buy the special tube heater made for grow rooms, but they basically do the same thing.

There are many ideas on You tube bro. Go and have a look!

Thanks Med! Will do. I have a little time before temps get out of range.

How are the plants looking so far?

That inkbird controller is on the spot! I also found a small personal space heater at 200 watts to hook up to it. After all, I am in CA, so no need to bring in the heavy gear, and electric bills, for a few degrees in a 2x2 cabinet. I think this should do me for those chillier months.

A lot of people do not understand Relative Humidity. The heater is not lowering humidity it is warming the air which can now hold more water. The same amount of water is still there but the Relative Humidity goes down because that amount of water is a smaller percentage of what the air can hold. I know it is a fine point but when you start using VPD understanding it becomes more important.

An oil filled heater has slower heat radiation in the space and is less likely to cause temperature oscillation. It is also a lot safer in a small space.

As long as it has a thermostat it will only use the wattage needed. If it is under-powered you waste money and have to buy another one.

If you only need a couple of degrees maybe just throwing a blanket over the top and a piece of ridged insulation under the tent to get it off the concrete will give you what you need?
