New Grower Second grow. Just MegaCrop, no bullshit...

That's growing some nice buds, I'm new to auto's so I'm just hanging out looking at other peoples grows. I'm interested in the MegaCrop as I want to switch to something that's more simple for my rooted clones, veg plants, photo's and soon to be auto's when I can afford more seeds. I'm done figuring out 4 different formulas and all the nutrient juggling. Ugh.

Is it too late to do major defoliating? I really want to strip away a bunch of the lower growth...

A bunch of the leaves are looking like this:

Slightly burnt tips and a tinge of yellow along the edges. I've been cutting back the MC and raised the lights a bit. Anything to worry about?


Anyway, buds getting fuller...

How concentrate / ratio are you at with the MC? Just trying to get a feel for each persons grow.

I had been as high as 6gm/gal. Currently at ~3.5 gm/gal

If all the tips are burnt it could be some nute burn, doesn't look too bad tho. And you've cut back so just look at the new growth although at this stage there may not be a lot.
As for defoliation how many days until you chop her?
I wouldn't go too hard past the half way mark, you can take some leaves blocking buds though. I've seen good results from people defoliating heavily but I just can't go that hard. I'll defoliate at 15 and 30 day mark then just as needed (photo plants).

Thanks for that. I thought the light might be too close (~18") so I raised it about 5".

I have no idea how long til it's ready for harvest but flowering is going much faster than veg. I think I'm just gonna leave it alone. It feels too late to do any serious defoliation.

Lights too close usually results in leaves bleaching/burning and droopy plants. I'm guilty of that with my LED's as I keep thinking they can be as close as T5's since they run cool. Nope, fried six very expensive seedlings; I should know better but as they say, shit happens!
Which light are you running BTW? I did not see it mentioned in this thread.
And often leaving the plants alone is the best option. I've damaged and killed a lot lately because I've been fussing too much instead of just KISS and keep doing things that work.
