(and upside down pictures)
is finally upon us.
as you can see i use a very scientific way of germinating.
root riot, upside down glass and a bit of tin foil. chuck them anywhere convenient. happens to be a dark cupboard this time, and check every 12 hours.
usually takes 36-48 hours to break ground. once theyre up i’ll turn the 130w CFL on. after some experimenting i realised they dont need light to pop so i just start them off gently. let them get the shell off then bathe them in 14000k for a couple weeks. i found my leds are just too strong for the young ones. kept the nodes too tight and didnt allow any stretch. i could always have just raised the light a bit but i like to keep them on the burning point. i have the time so might aswell try and keep them in the optimum lighting range. got no idea what that is in lumens or whatever so please dont ask lol i just a measuring tape and the signs of leaf stress to judge it. : )
I love dutch passion seeds won't grow anything else

ive got a pretty abusive growing style because of height restrictions so need strains that can handle it. dutch passion are the best guys for the job. i asked mephisto for their biggest and got hbss..... main stem snapped when i tried lst on the same day as my a/u lol.

He had a good teacher who gave him clear instructions :crying:.. purple - big bottle, yellow - wee bottle.
Well, what's more to know
Very well done of him.[/QUOTE]

kept shit simple and got him the ionic line of nutrients so its just one bottle for veg, one bottle for bloom. a pk booster and calmag. there isnt really anything else that can go wrong if the rooms set up properly and you keep the ph right.
not doing so well with trying to teach my other mate though. hes got all the same stuff i use and just cant get his head round it.

happy birthday to you.....

about feckin time aswell. 6 days that took! was starting to think i was making all this up lol. not sure if its cos theyre photos or just my house is colder but there you go. leave em in the dark for long enough and they will pop eventually : )

i’ll leave them in the glasses for a few days while they adjust to life. no feed yet, just spray the cubes with tap water ph’d down to 6 untill the glasses come off. then 70ppm root boost untill theyre ready for the first transplant in a week or so. the light gets kept at 18-20cm.
and thats about all there is to say about now. ill try keep my updates to every sunday.
