Extraction Say NO to the ARDENT LIFT DECARBOXYLATOR!!!! Say yes to sous vide instead and save your money

Bud, was the 300 with shipping? My lift comes tomorrow. I used the code canna30 got $30 off. It is $210 usd minus 30 comes to 180. Just used Google to convert that's $239.55 cad. I got free shipping (slow) not sure if they ship to you for free or not. Justed looked it says free shipping but $25 for faster shipping so looks like it would be $240 not $300. Does that make any difference? To have worry free 1 push of a button I don't think 300 is a rip off, oh yeah no smell too! Some may be willing to pay more for that, but 180 for U.S. isn't bad at all and I'm cheap lol.

Well I'd want to buy in my market to get warranty etc. some companies won't give you warranty if you bought in a grey market like me buying from the US when there are Canadian retailers here already. And those retailers don't do any kind of discounts like the US does. Canada sucks basically.

I'm looking at a sous vide for $100 Canadian from Amazon with warranty etc. It is going to be one touch pretty much. Precise heating. And it will not smell. And I can also cook with it. There really is no way it makes any sense at all to buy the ardent decarbox box for most people. Why not get a sous vide instead?

You can and have to buy from them. They are Canada friendly, and other international areas. You get a 1yr warranty. Just some info for ya. If whatever that other thing is works great! Is it made for decarbing? Good luck bro, I will be using the lift this weekend I will let you know how it goes. What's nice is i can put just a small bud and decarb that and ready to go in 1.5hr or less.

No man, its made for cooking not decarb. But it can do both. Its cheaper and can do more things than the Ardent Lift. Pretty much a no brainer. But I have to say I'm looking forward to using it to decarb. My last batch of rosin chocolate bar didn't turn out as good as my first batch and I am certain its because the decarb was not done right. The potency is not as good but its the same rosin. So has to be a bad decarb. I won't let that happen again once I get my new toy. Also my steaks will be cooked to perfection!!!! Unless I get too baked from the next batch of chocolate and I screw up the steaks!

Cool, good luck with it if you get it!

Cool! you can even "bake" with it! :crying:

Getting ready to try the sous vide decarb. Borrowed one to try out before I buy one.

The device clips on a pot of water and it basically heats the water up to whatever temp you want while also circulating. So I vacu-sealed up 1.5 grams of rosin in a very nice pink silicon dab container and dropped it in the pot. Now I need to read the manual on how to use this thing, but there are only like 3 buttons on it so it's pretty easy. Maybe not Ardent Lift easy, but once I do it a couple of times it will be. Plus I can decarb some steak or chicken or bacon too for when I get the munchies. I like how this is all tied together from making meds to cooking food for the munchies, all with one device.

@lunarman I purchased the Anova Sous Vide to reduce the volume of my Everclear tincture rather than using stove top double boiler method. Then 2 months later Source Extractor (see image below) came out with their product with which I can reduce all the way down to oil if desired. So I decarb with the Ardent Nova/Lift, make my tincture, reduce in the Source and use my Anova for cooking only. Now remember this Lunarman, you need to finish off your steak or chicken on the barbie or the frying pan for flavor. I mainly use mine for vegetables and sauces. Never tried to decarb. I do use the silicone containers in the Ardent to decarb my Rosin Bomb pressed rosin. Don't have alot of money, just a better Texas hold 'em player than my peers. Good decarbing and cooking!

@Mcdee @Root @Mañ'O'Green

Started the sous vide decarb. I didn't realize these devices don't go up to 250F. My loaner only goes to 212F. So I'm doing a 1 hr 30 min decarb at 205F.

Got my chocolate ready so I'll make up a bar today and try it out and see if I can tell if the potency is better than prior chocolate bars I made. Not going to try and send this stuff to a lab, but that would be cool to try one day.

This is the rosin in the sous vide circulating water bath in a vacu-sealed bag.
