Meanwhile back at the Ranch....it is blowing a Hooligan.
Everything not tied down is airborne..tomorrow is supposed to be windier..:windy:..I'll have to tie a string round one of each of the chickens legs to keep them grounded.

After the garage got done hubby started to tidy up the front of the field...

It took him 2 afternoons of hard graft. I was Hoping to persuade him to fence the front off and invest in 20 or 30 avocado tree as an investment..next year..

But..a guy turned up today and asked if he can use the land for alph-alpha fields for his horses.

They are gong to come in with the big plant..clear the land back to the borders..clear all of the reeds down the south side.
There is another 20 mtr piece of land on the south between us and our neighbour but it is around 4 ft deep in reeds.

We were going to take the reeds down half way..so the orchard had more light..but hubby was dreading the job.
so..they are doing all the clearing..they are going to fix the original pipe flooding system from the sluice to the field..coz they will need to use it..they are going to pay the yearly agricultural water costs..so we get the interior water for free..and they maintain/nourish the land for us. Win..Win situation.

Hubby and him shook hands on it today..and he is as keen as mustard..so I wouldn't be surprised if they are there tomorrow to start.

I'm over the moon..land is there to be Nurtured and to me a nice field of crop is as good to look at as a beautiful garden..Good Healthy Green floats my boat..:growing:

and off course being a legume, nitro to soil, deep strong roots, can break compacted subsoil, probably one of best crops before orchard, good for growing orchard also, makes nutrient dense mulch, high in protien, earthworms love this stuff
