Grow Mediums Sage plunges into DWC

I second medgrowers post.

Just a quickie, she's on day 16, PH has been stable at 6.2 everyday, just risen to 6.3 for the first time today. Will probably leave there, or should I adjust it down? EC is 0.6.

:clapper: NICE! :woohoo1:

That is a beautiful day 16 specimen, bro! No signs of tip burn but nice green on her! Excellent job.

pH 6.3 is just fine. I like to let it stay there if it likes to float there but if it gets to 6.4 or so I'd correct it back down. Man, I've had this issue with my NL grow this time around that everyday I measure the pH, it is 6.5. Then I fix it down to 6.2 and next day it's up again back in 6.5 and she is really doing fine

This one looks you can safely bump up the feed to something like 0.8 and see how she likes it. I bet she will! Again, congrats on a fine start! This is crucial to get right and now she is rocking and even a bit more forgiving since she is getting stronger.

What about algae problem I keep my rez Temp in check frozen bottles no light leaks black everything and hydroguard but I still have algae 2 days after rez change I can't figure it out HELP

If you are using VeloKelp, then it is likely just that. It is supposed to be like that. If not, please list everything that goes to the reservoir.

Not using velokelp * mills nutrients a'b vitalize*hydroguard ,cal-mag , GH rapid start,terpinator

Right, so my first dilemma is this, I filled the res with RO water but I couldn't believe the time it took to filter. Pretty much all day to get 19 litres, and the amount of waste water was huge. Apparently you can get RO filters which have a water/waste ratio of 1/1 but they cost several hundred £'s (mine was a cheap fleabay special, lesson learnt...). So would running with my tap water be an option? It's PH 7.4 EC 0.6 and that's after it's been through a whole house filter which is supposed to remove a load of crap. It's also quite low in Magnesium and very high in Calcium so I might have to supplement magnesium on top of the Magnifical. Or is this going to be a world of pain?

Do you have any places near you that sale RO water?
I have a little water station near me in the parking lot of a grocery store that I aquire my RO water from. It has like 10 different filtrations it goes through and had worked great for me. Cost $1.50 for 5 gallons.

Thanks, have to say I'm amazed so far! Proper update later in the week.

Day 23

PH 6.3
EC 0.8
Temp 25-27C
RH 45%-55%

I swore to myself that as this was my first Hydro go I was going to let the plant just grow naturally. But two days ago I could stand it no longer, and started a very light tying down session. She responded beautifully so I think I may continue... Next time round I'm definitely going to sort out some hooks in the lid though, tying this ugly green garden wire to the sides is not ideal. tried to tuck some leaves but they don't really stay, @MedGrower is it too early to remove a couple just to open things up, or should I wait?

Dehumidifier is working well, I was getting up to 77% which was making me nervous, now it stays in range nicely with the added benefit of warming up the tent between 3 and 5 degrees. Plants seem happy!

She is looking nice and surely going up from there. LST and defoliation is a good idea at this stage if you want to keep her down and not growing so much vertically. It is alright to start gently taking couple of leaves from the bottom to open her up for now. Specially since you are doing LST and you'd ideally want to promote better growth for those side nodes. I'd take couple of those bigger fan leaves out from the down below for now to get her used to the idea. Good luck bro!
