Hey guys, I've been lurking for a while and decided its time to start up a journal. I'm growing in FFOF with the FF trio for nutes. My SAD is under 209w of cfls, while the NL is under 20w. Today is day 34 for my SAD and her buds are finally starting to fatten up! Her pistils are starting to turn pink, is this normal? My NL was just planted yesterday and shes starting to come out of the soil. Here's some pics, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :smokebuds: bud.jpgbud2.jpgbud1.jpg

Don't worry about pistol color.Everything looks good to me ,get er done.

Hey guys time for a little update. The NL sprouted on April fools day and is just started to develop the 2nd set of serrated leaves. I'm hoping to see the NL surpass the SAD in size due to the 3gal smart pot. Since the NL is my second plant I will be disappointed if shes not a danker, fatter, sexier bitch :hump:. Today is day 38 for the SAD and shes starting to fatten up a bit :D. Some of her hairs are starting to amber, and her trichomes are starting to cloud. I don't think she will be much of a harvest, but I'm hoping for 10g of some decent smoke. I've started to aerate my water while evaporating the chlorine. I've noticed the PH of 02 filled water is high 7s to 8s, Is this too big of a shock if my soil is around 6.6? As always advise is welcomed, I'm still quite noob at botany. Here's some pics :smokebuds:photo.jpgphoto(1).jpgphoto(2).jpgphoto(3).jpgphoto(4).jpg

Hey there. Looks like more than 10gr yield to me and she's still growing. And as far as the ph on your water, do you have any ph up and down? You'll need this to keep your feed water in range. You should be feeding at about 6.2-6.5

I'm hoping for more than 10g but I'll be happy if she stays alive until then.:crying: I use baking soda and lemon juice for ph up and down lol. My ffof soil seems to stay pretty low ph wise so I normally feed at 7ish on watering to stabilize the runoff in the 6s. I took a gander at your grow man hope your ladies can turn it around!

Hey man. If you're feeding at 7 and getting 6s you're grand, as long as it isn't low low six. After you get below 6.2 you start getting lockout. So really stay more on the 6.5 side than 6.2 to be safe.

FFOF is pretty hot so the nutes keep that ph lower, but you sound like you're good. I've heard that baking soda can kill your beneficial bacteria and microorganisms in your root zone so be careful with that.

Thanks for checking out my grow. I'm hoping it'll turn around in about a week since I performed the transplant. later dude

Hey guys its about that time for an update. My northern lights is now a week old and is just about to leave the seedling stage . She already looks much larger than the sweet afgani delicious did at this age. I have noticed a smell in my cab which I thought to be the SAD, but after further studies I have concluded it is the NL! I was not aware a plant could stink this young. The SAD is on day 42 and is starting to ripen up; her buds have started to gain girth and I believe vertical growth has subsided. She is a meager 9 inches but I'm hoping she develops into a nice chubby girl :hump:. Her trichomes are continuously more cloudy and some random ambers are starting to appear :D. Also her leaves are starting to become purple tipped? If you look closely in the pics you can see some of the purple is this normal?photo(5).jpgphoto(6).jpgphoto(7).jpgphoto(8).jpg

I had to leave my grow for a week, damn its good to be back. Today is day 53 for the Sweet Afgani Delicious S-1. It looks like a snow storm hit my SAD while I was gone. She looks as if shes dripping trichomes :booya:. I lowered my RH levels thanks to the advice of DubV and it looks to really be paying off! I plan on harvesting an inter-node a week off this pretty lady until 30-50% amber trichomes. I loaded up the vape with a popcorn bud and I first felt a slight head high, about a 15 minutes later I was happily sedated. I believe this will be an excellent night time smoke. :D The Northern lights is now on day 18. While I was gone she rapidly grew into a light :cuss: her new growth is excellent, I don't think she is too debilitated. She hasnt shown any pistels yet; I'm hoping she autos or I will be disgruntled . I just got some Cobras and Jet 47s one of which will be popped very soon if anyone has suggestions on either let me know.:smokebuds:photo(14).jpgphoto(13).jpgphoto(12).jpgphoto(11).jpgphoto(10).jpgphoto(9).jpg

Hello there good sir, looks like you threw sugar all over your buds. My previous outdoor crops rarely got half that many crystals. I don't know what your feeding the little frost filled lady but it's done the trick. :bong:That there looks to be rock solid genetics where can I find the sort?

Hey man welcome to the site. Haha no sugar on the girls but I'm watering with molasses up until a few days before chop. The SAD is from sweet seeds you can type it in google and find several vendors. I've heard nothing but good things about the strain, Its real dense bud with plenty of frost and a great high .
