New Grower Royal Queen Sweet Skunk autos - First organic grow - take a look, give some advice, enjoy!

@Green Goblin @Hypathetical Gardener @KREATURE
Evening gents, just wondering if any of you could chime in with when you think would be appropriate to give my first dose of molasses and how much?

I watered 2 days ago with a small dose of epsom salts (I run RO so assumed it wouldn't hurt)

When do you think I should give my first feed of molasses? I've got a 3-4 days before I water I think.
I personally only do molasses at the beginning and mid flower about 3 days after i give a microbe innoculant. 2 points here though... 1. I havent been able to find any real science backing molasses helping your plants directly at all. All credible research i can find points to the indirect correlation to feeding the microbes in the soil, which in turn then break things down for the plants.
2. I also can say first hand i didnt notice a difference. But i like to love on my girls a bit... So i do it about 2x a grow and maybe once toward the final week when i start doing cooler water.

More experienced or studied organic growers, please correct me if im wrong as i do not want to perpetuate untruths.

I was under the impression that that was the purpose of molasses; to feed the "mircoheard".

Day 14 Update
I watered my girls today, today being day 14. Ive upped the root juice to 2ml/L and gave them molasses at 1 tsp./L (all together in water)

The pH of my feed was 5.9.
I took a pH reading of the soil and it was low, ~5.1. should this concern me?

Other than having my expected thrips, as per every grow, they are looking good. Keeping the thrips at bay with neem oil

Day 16 - issues

I have an issue with just one of my girls. It has happened in a 24 hour period.

What do you guys think this is?

My pH is worrying me too. My last feed was a bit low on the pH scale, 5.9 but nothing too worrying (molasses lowered it I think). However, the pH of my soil was low after watering, ~5.1and a reading today after its dried a little was 5.2-5.3. This is surely too low?

Would appreciate any help! @Hypathetical Gardener
Cheers

im honestly just testing runoff with my ph pen as well as with a drop test kit. been feeding ph 5.8 every watering and soil ph is looking good and in range. overally the plant looks really good. but i just always like to hear others advice and input. still my best grow to date and nothing im really complaining about. i do still need to pull the trigger eventually on one of those accurate 8 soil probes. but ugh just camt bring myself to spend the 80 bucks right now on one when i havnt been having any real issues or anything. the very slight tip burn i have noticed on fan leaves does tend to be on older leaves that have been on the plant a while so thats why im not worrying to much at this point. at least things arent bleaching and yellowing like my last grow. havent been shy with the nutes this time around.

oops haha sorry thought this was a reply to my grow thread, lol.

its a smidge low for soil, but if you keep watering 6.5-6.8 ish will drift back again as quickly as activly trying to fix it.
that diatomatoes stuff is meant to be good, the crushed something that soft lil bugs dont like.
good luck n keep er lit.
:pighug:

What archie said. And 5.5 to 6.3 is the ph range for optimal uptake. And range as some are better taken up at higher and lower phs. But just get it between those 2 numbers and shell be fine
