Great news!! I was growing rather impatient so I got the clones out of the Aerogarden and peaked in the plugs. There are indeed tiny little roots beginning to grow at the bottom of the cuttings!!!:dance2:
Hopefully by Saturday I will be able to have them without the humidity dome and they can begin life on their own. The clones themselves are looking very sad but hopefully once they get their roots going they will bounce back and begin growing out. At least step one is nearing completion. My camera should be here today as well so hopefully I will be able to post some pics, but I will have to learn how to use it tonight!!
This has all got me to thinking about the process, assuming everything goes well and the plants co-operate. Some things I am wondering:
1. Will this only work on plants that lean to the Sativa side and take longer to flower?
2. Will this only work with DWC since it appears to make plants grow significantly larger and therefore make cuttings easier to get?
3. Is there a feeding regimen that will make cuttings root and grow faster?
4. How will silver treatment effect the timeline for pollination?
Questions, questions... Ha Ha! I guess we will find out together. I started a World Of Seeds Northern Lights X Big Bud in my cab in soil to treat with silver to get some male pollen. I wish I had not done this now since I would really like to try an Indica using this method to see if it works. Next plant I guess....
