Harvest & Curing Rosenthal - "cure first" then dry jar to age - what do you think

I do it like this its pritty much the same except iv no hydrometr but find its best . Hang till 50%takes 5-7 days depending on bud density size then jar for two 3 day burp once or twice a day it draw out the central moisture & they become spungy again. Then over the next 35-40 day I air her out a little each day less and less till it gets to the spungy sticky stage. I leave it at this stage it dosent grind up properly it clumps together because of the resin its not wet . I have to take a bud and leave it in the air for 10-15 minutes before it grinds properly but the buds keep better and taste better as time gose on. All done in Cool room 10C

I'm keen to freeze my bud after 2-3 days of hanging.
Do I bag it up first or just flop it in the freezer on a tray or hang it?
What about drying from the freezer once done, does it go wet like when you thaw meat from the freezer?
I love the idea and am willing to try it.

Same here, would like to know more specifics in placing the buds in the freezer. I harvested 3 days ago and they are hanging in 21 C temp so am ready to put them in the freezer.

Any info would be great!

Thanks for this btw. :bong::peace:

What I did was set my freezer to the lowest setting for a few days and then back to my normal setting (or factory).

I cleared a section of the freezer (rack).
Placed foil on the rack.
Placed buds directly on the foil.
Closed freezer and left it so for several hours.
Peeked in occasionally.
Buds will freeze.
May see some ice crystals; however, they go away because of the freezer vacuum. Some may stay--no big deal.
Make sure you don't have any fish etc. in the freezer. Other odors could be absorbed by the buds.
You can take out small buds early to try.

Check the stems. If medium size stem(s) seem brittle and/or break (big stems seem to retain moister and may not break) about 10 to 20 days have passed--they are ready. In a pinch even after a week you partake a bit.
Then take buds out. Let them air out for a short time to room temp. Will not take long.
Make sure they are not wet. Sticky is ok.
Jars them for aging.
Check humidity if you want.
Burp the first few days.
Enjoy.
