I’ve used diatomaceous earth, sticky traps, nematodes and Dr Zymes and they wouldn’t die! Next run I’m gonna put pantyhose arround the grow bags so the damn creatures can’t lay eggs hanging on outside of the bag! And I have predator insects now which is why I’m not cutting that cover crop! They are working and only had em since Fri so will take lil time to kill em off! Gonna get more nematodes and some rove beetles since I know they’ll stay in the place any food is and will crawl thru the moist soil of the earthbox in case some wound up in there between the 2 runs! I just didn’t plan on cover crop going so outta control on me when I released em or woulda cut it 1st before letting them out!

Looking at that pic (too lazy to scroll back a page) u can see the DE on top of those clovers and also had it all over outside of the bag!

And if u use grow bags u may wanna get up close and look cuz those damn things will lay eggs hanging from side of the bags! Especially if like rain science or radicle bags cuz they hang em right inside that mesh weave and tons will fall off into the tray and then even bottom watering will hydrate those eggs so they can hatch! Why I had to get predator insects cuz had these plants in bedroom closet and had crap load of eggs on the bags in maybe a 36 hour span!

Not sure how important it is with marijuana but i use food grade D.E with my outdoor garden. Not sure if it needs to be food grade or not. i also had a great fungus gnat infestation last year with over 2 thousand gnats easily lol. I watered with hydrogen peroxide. Let the soil dry out and it killed alot of larvae. Each gnat lives 7 days and lays 200 eggs. You kill the eggs off it shouldnt get too bad.

HELL YES IT NEEDS TO BE FOOD GRADE! If it gets on leafs and whatnot of the plant it doesn’t wash off so it’ll wind up on the flowers eventually and last thing u want is to be smoking something that is toxic!!!

This is after washing this tray off

white all over that tray is DE even after washing the damn thing off!!!

If they get really bad cover top of the soil in builders sand so they can’t get into the soil to lay any more eggs and any in there will be trapped and can’t hatch out!
