RocBud Rocbudinc Genetics

I was bummed out once again about not being able to buy another Breeder’s seeds.
So I took a little trip over to rockbudinc to see what was available and just snagged two packs of scoops and a pack of ice gushers.

Though I still have some work ahead of me, I can’t wait to pop these beans in August. I’ve started gathering inputs to build my LOS... I will be cooking shortly with materials from build a soil and local sourcing for the heavier items to save on shipping.

Trying to source a tent now-covid is making that difficult but will lock it down shortly. After a lot of research, looking at the Growers Choice roi 680 (2) for spectrum, spread, PAR and with the controller you can do the sunrise/sunset deal.

Looking forward to finally getting this going... Just exercising patience while I continue to read/listen to podcasts and continue my research.

Wishing everyone a safe and Happy 4th of July... Appreciate all of you.
Growhouse.supply has that light on sale for 899
2 of thise Maes Hydro SP3000 would be 800.
Obviously no sunrise sunset deal but man what a spread of PAR. Best I have ever seen. I do know one thing if you are thinking about a 4x4. If I had it to do again I would get a 5x5. I grow 5 plants perpetually and never have enough room. 2 of the MH would absolutely fill that 5x5 with a perfect PAR. They ship free and with 2 I think you would get a combined 4% AFN/MULTIPLE piece discount.
Happy 4th!

Thank you Builder, really appreciate your feedback. I have a friend that has been growing with the Growers Choice 680 Roi for the past year with great success (without the fancy controller). In other tents, he runs various HLG QB’s and enjoys them a lot but ultimately when growing the same clones, similar environments, etc- the GC 680 lit flowers had more vigor and frost. He’s done a few runs like this so far and really enjoys the GC.

Looking at getting a 5x9 tent and starting with one light with their controller for the first run then getting a second light hopefully for the second run. Looking to get a good par meter and my goal for these lights is to run them close to the canopy, get my desired PAR while running the lights a little cool til I’m a couple weeks into flower. Of course we will see what actually happens in reality but that’s a goal I would like to try to achieve.

Really appreciate the feedback and support from everyone, wish I could pass a fat, kief and hash loaded joint to everyone here and once again, have a Happy 4th!!

:thanks: :smoking:

Nice looking light. Interesting they’re using the Osram diodes too. They’ve come a long ways and I’m seeing more companies using them.

You know while u are studying up you could get your own LED strips and build a bad ass 1 for a 5x9 that’d smash the GC light for the cost of less then 1 of them! Bridgelux makes some bad ass tunable spectrum strips that are mixture of 2700k and 5000k and are like $15 per 2’ strip! Can either hook 2 drivers up to them to adjust power level of the spectrum or get a controller that’ll do the work for u! Could get the strips, heatsinks, driver(s), and the controller for under cost of 1 GC light!
The model is bridgelux Vesta! Or u can get Samsung photo boost strips which are lil more expensive but super super efficient! I have my bedroom tv and 3 250w qb lights plus the clip fans for my tents is all I have running on my bedroom breaker and I had to put 1 tent on an extension cord to the hallway cuz kept throwing my breaker over and over! Seems like should pull less amperage from wall but was tripping 15amp several times a day some days!

Nice! I'm gonna give it a whirl and set up some SWIPs/SIPs, whatever, and see how they do. Rain science bags have been ordered :woohoo:
Do it! Just pulled 147 grams of Thai from 1 homemade SIP on my 2nd grow with them.

Frozen scoops got topped off yesterday with foundation/kelp blend and also crab/kelp blend! I missed a dose so did lil less of each and doubled up! The worms will help break it all down! Can’t remember if she germed 5/27 or 28th!

This was day 38/39 not sure which!
