Really nice job. Surprised at how short they stayed. I have not done Iced Guahers or Cookies and Chem. But I have done Diesel Cookies. Mine turned super purple. The rest of the strains all got decently tsll as well. Grape Rolex has a tall pheno for sure. I am training my Roc it Fuel #1 plant, it was under the 6500k Cob only til now. So the 6500k makes the plants more bendy than the 3500k. One of the ressons your plants stayed shorter is the intense Red spectrum of the QB96 Elites. Even plants vegged under the 3500k spectrum get thicker stems and stay shorter. But typically start to flower sooner thsn the 6500k. I actually like shorter plants, too tall and plants waste space IMO. Excited to see how my 6 Light Bars do, I made it with 4 of the 3500k Bars and 2 6500k bars. It is 18x32 inches and I have it running at 185 Watts. Just put it in the 2x4 with the Roc it Fuel. The true test will be next round from start to finish with the new light vs cobs. I like that it is adjustable intensity wise. In never really veg with my QB96, only use it for flowering. But when I replace my 4x8 ,I will try to run the QB96 from start to finish in 1 of my new tents. Peace, slowIced Gushers on the left is short, Cookies #1 in the middle is going to have so FAT buds and the Diesel Cookies on the right is definitely liking the new light schedule.

@RocBudInc
Hey @Slim Piggens , I will take a pic of my rig later lit up later today, but have one of it after I assembled it. I have a 185 Watt Meanwell for it. The spread is wall to wall. I have some ideas on making some killer lights, that could potentially Double my plant count. Here is the 18x32 frame and bars put together. Will snap more oics later today. I am glad that I can help others, I just share my honest opinuons and facts based on a TON of experience. Peace, slowWould love to see a pic of your lighting rig Slow, your absolutely on point on light spread. (IRL, I work in lighting - non horticulture though). Like always, I learn a lot from your posts and am getting close to being able to have the space to run a couple smaller tents. Hope that you and your family are safe and healthy.

Are you saying you dial them down to 100 to 120 watts Each? Or total draw? I dont have a way to read the watts, but can adjust the levels. I have same power supply as you. Its more power than the lights really need. I found out the first time I rsn them how strong they are. I have to buy a couple new tents and 1 will run tbe QB96 lights start to finish. Rigjt now I only use them certain times and only in flower. I have so many lights, mostly Cobs. But I actually like the shorter plants you did. Maybe a little taller, but not much. I feel too much stretch is not good for yields. Nice work holmes, keep it up. Almost harvest time on some, peace slowThanks for looking everyone. I really think I had the lights up way too high. I was running them @200w each.
The first 2 were just too far along to really make a big difference, the Cookies #1 did stretch a bit. From left to right they get increasingly taller and the youngest was just starting to flower when I reduced the power so she is the tallest. I have been reducing the power down to about 5-6w each for 4 hours and then @100-120 for the duration of the day. The QB96s even at 6w they are bright enough to read but the plants def stretch during this period.
Each grow I have learned a thing or 2 and this one is going to make a big difference going forward.
The Cookies #1 is really greasy. I touched it today and my finger was coated. still got a few more weeks but she is turning out really nice.
@slowandeasy I appreciate all the advice.
@RocBudInc Love these strains now I just gotta do em justice!
I have to work everyday because my work never shuts down.
Keeping my fingers crossed that everyone makes it thru this in one piece.
I hope everyone is staying safe and Healthy.
Dont send him to nursing home unless it is 100% needed. I am a Physical Therapist and my job was in nursing homes for years. My mom fell ill and Inwas afraid of the same thing. It is a death sentance for many. 1st round she did good. 2nd round she didnt come home and died within a few days of being put back in there. I understand the needs more than most people, but dont do it with Coronavirus around. He is safer at home, by far! Sorry to hear about this, it is tremendously hard to deal with.Oh I know you 20+ years experience and I have greatly appreciated you sharing that hard won knowledge here at AFN. Looking forward to paying you back some day for all the great posts.
Thank you for posting that quick pic. I was curious about those led strips. Can’t wait to hear more about your ideas for creating your killer lighting and increased plant count. You and MOB have got me pretty stoked to start growing as soon as I’m able, thank you.
Posts like these are manna from heaven while I’ve been sheltering in place taking care of My P’s. The old man is tough to handle right now and needs to be in a assisted living facility, but as we see with this outbreak that could be a death sentence.
Appreciate everything Slow!
I meant 100w each. But I have been varying the light. I will run them @140 for a few hours but I mostly run them @100. If I didn't have 2 in full flower I would probably run them around 75w or less per light.Are you saying you dial them down to 100 to 120 watts Each? Or total draw?
