Outdoor Robin Hood: Prince of Weeds (2017)

The days are very long now, about 16 hours with the sun rising around 5am and setting around 9pm. In fact it wasn't completely dark until around 10:15pm tonight, and I was still able to see my way around in the woods without a light at 9:30pm tonight on the way home. And there's still another month to go until the longest day of the year. Prime time to be getting the autos out now as it's also getting quite warm here now. It was 26C here today and we have temps of 28-30C forecast into the weekend.

I think it's fair to say I will take down the mini greenhouse in the coming days, and get all the autos in the ground by this weekend. It's far too hot to have the plants in the greenhouse as it's getting well into the 50C+ range inside, even with the flaps open for ventilation. So you can expect to see all my autos in the ground by Sunday. In the meantime, here are some photos, and some autos...

Seen a few critters lately as well. With the onset of summer, there's insects and reptiles everywhere. Thankfully not many ticks or mosquitos this year though

That's all folks

I appreciate your ingenuity and determination. The foliage on those looks great! Definitely good sun where you're at, things get a bit stringy up here. Keep on, keepin' on, man.

That's a fearless young deer~!
Don't know how old it's going to live with that attitude...

How big do you dig your holes?
Just approx, that is.
10L, 20L or bigger....?

@Swan Those are much better close up pics than the ones I got mate. I couldn't get that close to the one I saw as it certainly wasn't hanging about, it slithered into the undergrowth quite quickly. Moved in a zigzag kind of like a sidewinder would. It's definitely more snake like than lizard like, despite the fact that it is technically a (legless) lizard. Lovely pics though mate

The "airborne" plants are way cool. It is the best way to avoid slugs, rabbit, and deer, draw back is too many watering trips. I've done it a couple of times. No string, just topped a smallish tree just above a couple of branches and hung the bucket handle over the "stump" the remaining branches kept it from sliding down.

Also an additional benefit of increased circulation to hopefully hold back mold a bit!
