Photoperiod RivetGrrl's Photosensitive Adventures

Hey I work at Canntrust as a harvest technician, and I can confirm that reveg USUALLY produces monster buds from the clones, the odd ones that don't veg well after we don't usually keep haha. We have a couple of giant propagation chambers filled with cuttings taken around 4-5 weeks for that reason. I've not gotten into cloning just yet at home, still want to find a really good mother before I decide to do it. Probably going to be breeding again within a year hopefully.

I'm just getting back into indoor myself at home, all these hydroponic setups I'm seeing are so nice hahaha. I'll stick with coco and promix (hydroponicish soil I guess lol) for a while until I get used to indoor again, been at least 3 years. Awesome training for sure that knuckle up there is gorgeous haha.

Thanks that is good info! I plan to take clones from the revegged clones tho and I'm not sure that those will produce huge?
I work at an LP too but I'm not sure if they like it advertised so I never say much about it. I'm on sabbatical for a bit as well while I deal with some health concerns.
I want to start breeding too, I tried it years ago and liked it. I just need to find a male and so far my regular seeds I want pollen from are all female. What luck eh? :crying:
I do have colloidal silver tho so I want to try some experiments with that on my plants I run clones from to get some pollen from those plants. I'll flower out one of the smaller clones tho so I don't lose an entire plant to the silver.
I love the results from hydro, but the upkeep and some other issues have been a lot of work. That's why the auto's are in AutoPot's!!
I'll post some more pics here in a bit, I spent hours yesterday cleaning out the 4x4 tent and resetting things so I'm stoked :woohoo1:

Time for the update here, and already lots more has happened so more pics to come.
Harvested my SD3xF99 and she’s a winner. Still curing buds but sneaking some still :baked:
Pistils never turned brown on this bud but trichomes showed she was ready.

Training seems to break more branches than I’d like, so I started wrapping the tops with stretchy plant tape that is a fabric and sticks to itself. Helps prevent oopsies and I’ve used it to mend broken branches as well (second pic)
I’ve always cut close but I will start leaving a stump so it won’t split as easy in the future.

After last harvest I needed to clean the tent and the entire recirculating system, here is Moonshine Haze hanging out and looking gorgeous. She got massive in veg but I had to wait on harvest and sanitizing.

She is in the flowering tent now, and another Pakistan Valley Kush is in the recirculating system too. No more tending to individual buckets waiting for the space to be ready!!
I also added some strips to the corners as I had them kicking around not being used. I’m not expecting anything from them but can’t hurt to try.

Mmmmm roots, my Moonshine clones have them so into the clone/seedling DWC mini reservoir they went. I’ll see if the method I used worked, trying something new so hopefully they live.

I never had an issue until that plant, she was a strange one but great in the end. Rest of the pistils on other buds went pretty brown at the end.

Love the blue bandages, great idea. I’m a terror in the tent, like a bull in a china shop.

Damn those roots look good! Watching and learning. :d5:

Pretty quiet in here but here’s some pics for anyone gazing upon the photosensitive gals.
Second round of tea brewing, it’s getting nice and chunky so should be a good tea since I got the temps increased. That is when I first started brewing it, foam died down and it’s got another 24 hours to go :woohoo1:

Moonshine Haze continuing to take over the tent, I'm calling her The Dominator, or Dominatrix? :naughtystep::crying:

Nothing to see here, just a bucket of poo tea. It's like a party but not, it's a pootea. Get it? There's an echo in this empty room :smoking:

Critical Jack Herer vegging, she really got hit with transplant shock. I’ll add B1 next time as it’s supposed to help with stress. She’s looking way better than she was!
Please see below for issue with overcrowding....

G13 Labs Midnight Kush, had some deficiencies but she’s looking good and getting bushy. Tents full so she will be a monster by the time I can flower her.
Crop planning? Me? Nah I’m good I’ll just start as many plants as I can :face:
Also running autos in my veg tent. I’m good. Starting to sweat heavy. But. It’s. Fine....

This Bubblelicious makes me happy, Bud sites are all pretty even for now. Canopy could go crazy in stretch tho.

Yup! I guess many people didn't know we all got them as Mongol started up a private message for us Canucks. We will all be running both strains in the 2nd leg so I'm looking forward to that.

Thanks! I love my photos, those autos scare the shit out of me which is actually really funny. But I will get used to what they need and I know I'll do well eventually. I just look at my Haze that is almost three feet wide now and damn, I want my auto's to be HUGE.

:jointman: Hey RG! How'd the dye job go? Are you scaring the old folks at the grocery store now? :crying:

--- wow, that SDxF99 sure stayed furry and fresh! Odd indeed, she seems to have kept stacking new calyxes,... was it a late surge, or did she just keep steadily popping them out? Well if the trich's said ripe, you did right! Bud looks well frosted, get us dry porn when she's ready please- :hothot: :hump: woooo! ...how's her perfume?

--- oo! great idea on that stretchy wrap (it has a name which I forget)... If you can get it to stay, it'll work nicely -..... breathes (no rot), flexes and expands w/o restricting or cutting into the stem,...

--- MSH =:vibe: :help: :haha: ... this could be a good wrasslin' match! You will have to pardon if I laugh at the struggle, as it reminds me of a former mate here who foolishly wanted to grow a landrace sativa from Bhutan, Purple Paro Valley,...:growing: :deadhorse:  ... must have pruned her 3 times!.... bent like a pretzel to fit,... she was a wad of branches and buds! ...reward was there though, unique amazing aromatics, moderate potency but gave a really nice high according to him :zen: totally Monk-weed!

-- oh yeah, how's that PVK treating you after some cure time?

-- :greenthumb: all the girls look lovely RG, the other PVK is a hottie! :spels: -showing some promisingly phat resin production,... MSH starting to sweat you already, eh?
...poops tea = :wiz: ...... other nice strains running now too! I'ma look them up..... :d5:

Dye was great, went with the melting colours this time it’s funky. I scare the oldies but with my face not my hair :baghead::biggrin:

SD3 was weird undead, she fox tailed like crazy just kept going. I wonder what would have happened if I left her? But she was good trichome wise, at least as far as I gauged. Was all over too, so wasn’t light or heat stress causing the fox tailing. :spels:

I can’t recall the name of the stretchy wrap either, I got it a long time ago for my tomatoes (can’t even recall what I did there maybe same thing) but I need more so I’ll find the name for anyone interested. I think it’s pretty common at most garden centres tho.

As far as Dominirtrix is concerned, she’s better than that viney SD3 so far but she’s starting to stretch. Y’all stay tuned I bet I’m swearing like a truck driver in a month but the yield? Hope it’s good as so far she look s like she will do well. And she is lovely, trained SO well. I don’t know what it is about her but I really like her a lot.
Odd you talk about a landrace, I’m talking to MOG about growing one in a tent and he linked me up to his thread from last summer. I’m a sucker for punishment I gotta do it :naughtystep:

PVK never fails to impress me, she’s in pic 4&5, after so many comments from you about nugs smelling like poo, or vomit I noticed a shite undertone to her, pungent and earthy tho not horrid. Kushy

SD3 this is the bud pictured above, sure shrank a lot. Like a dude in a cold pool :woody:
Her aroma is nothing short of amazing, fresh citrus and cucumber with a funky fuel/turpentine aroma. When growing she was fruity almost, and so sticky when trimming I got a very large ball of glove hash. I gave some to a friend who said it tasted minty and green. I have tried some, nice very up high but no heart racing. Also, her calyxes were huge and purple, very interesting.

I mentioned it elsewhere too, but I picked up Sweet Seeds Green Poison on your recommendation, but the XL version. Also Dark Devil.

Thank you as always for the compliments :toke:
