You're right, that is the range for soil, wish there was a definitive range for promix. Been on all kinds of forums and people's answers are all over the place. In terms of run-off; I did it a couple times when they were younger but I read it wasn't very reliable. I plan on picking up a soil ph meter today or tomorrow to see what my ph is at the root zone.

You can do a slurry test. For the Nectar line, it's what they recommend.

Wait till the soil is dry, dig down an inch or two (don't catch your roots!). Obtain two ounces of soil, place into jar/receptical. Add equal amount of pH neutral water. Mix and let fully integrate/coagulate/penetrate. Take pH test and you have soil acidity/alkalinity results.

Hmmm....makes sense. Maybe I'll buy a bag of the organic and see if I get any more (or less) early growth. Thanks for the info, bro! :d5:
Myself being one - I'm seeing lots of people using Roots and having gnats. Not saying that they're connected, but I've selected a different brand for future use

Hahahaha might be your best bud ever. Is @iWumbo still around?

The fourth skinniest, 3rd smallest paper clip I've ever seen, for scale and support.

Sorry about all that.. I feel like @witchyhour :rofl::thumbsup::pass:

So I've read. Got this big bag of Promix I need to go through before I think of trying any new mediums first though. :smokeout:

Appreciate your help guys. @Ripper @Frankthetank
I will probably get my backside crammed for this stance but promix is great. You just need to know what you are starting with. I think of BX as a mechanical soil mix which I add Coco and other organic or synthetic (depending on system) amendments in a package arrangment. It has the ability to mold to almost any other system. I soak it in tap water and let it sit around outside for a couple of weeks. rainfall and mold spores and etc. Never had a problem. healthy plants laugh at pathogens.

And for the record, I have worked professionally with Faffard products since the Mid 80's I liked their [HASHTAG]#2[/HASHTAG] better than anything they do today but the consistancy is better now.

Everything you ever see me grow is in at least 50% Promix BX.

Everyone has an opinion. But the facts I have developed are that it's better to have a mechanically correct soil than biologically. Now, get both right and you have a photo Op.

I'm loving some Sunshine [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG] mix right now, but promix will be my next bushel. I'm digging the control.
