Hehehe! Ya for sure. Eventually I plan to make my own compost super soil, but for now, I'm in a basement apartment, and the Promix just seemed like the better fit for now... The guy at the hydro store was really selling it, figured why not. Plus I can't get Roots Organic, or etc. unless I want to pay crazy shipping or outrageous initial prices.

Due to their round nature (and size)...it would be hard to compact them.

But the fines will still migrate into cavities.

Maybe a good size chunk of lava rock? Landscaping supply at a hardware store might have some. :smoking:

Also could check a concrete quarry - the use it for lightweight concrete
