Me thinks the nuggets are found around Sudbury and north Copper was huge in the UP and lake supeirior they think the vikings had a secret mine in the bronze age om lake Superior. For the amount of swords that were made and such there was not enough copper so some think they mined it offf of a Island in Superior. Hence why everything is Viking oriented even the football team

I would as well. Large mouth, been a while since I had any.

Actually pure smallmouth(16-22") and tons of them(easily 50 fish a day per guy over 16" average) and really nice pike (36 - 40"). Never seen a largemouth, just a little too north for them. Nobody fishes the place....unless the walleye are in and then there is scores of boats in a small area. Nice size walleye too(i caught 4 in the 22"- 24" in 2 hours a couple of years back)

The great lakes can be the most dangerous waters to travel with lake Superior being the worst when it comes to storms. In the 1950s Toronto had a hurricane called Hurricane Hazel that came off of lake Ontario it killed a lot of people the great lake are not to taken lightly there is well over ten thousand shipwrecks in them. They get winds coming from different directions unlike the Atlantic or the pacific Oceans where you usually get swells traveling just in one direction
