Float a couple barges next to the main ship. Set them up as floating raised garden beds. ;)

Similar to the private island, I always thought it could be interesting to see if an old off shore floating oil rig could be converted into a mostly self sustaining community type setup. The poetic irony of a bunch of hippies taking big oils tool and turning it into a floating commune just tickles my funny bone for some reason. :baked:

Lived on one of those for 10 yrs ....believe me its not all that,pottable water ....yuk ...still got to generate electricity, and pay for a supply vessel to bring ur raw materials,general upkeep of a rust bucket and did i forget to mention the weather,100 yr waves smashing into it and blowing out toilets as ur having a crap......and the only books left lying around are "lord of the flys " communal living might be good but that type of close quarters living aint good

All excellent points.....Maybe we just need a big ass piece of land....say 400 or so acres! :haha:
