As for the commune thingy...I kind of liked the idea someone tossed out a while back of just getting a private island somewhere for it. Tropical weather and no countries canna laws to worry about. :smoking:
Interesting conversation here this AM.Lot's of vets have found some semblance of peace here in Alaska. I'm not one. But I can say communal is the way to go for sure if you can hook up with the right folks. We couldn't have gotten what we have here without getting it together with our partners.
Commom I've been putting up with the weather here for 77 years and still going strong . Changing seasons good for the soul . Plus we have the best hunting and fishing in the world and the best looking women are only a couple of hours away in Quebec . I should have been a salesman .
Where's the paperwork Bear, can sign me up now =
Down for some epic Fly Fishing trips, and well, hunting too
As for travelling to Quebec... think my Mrs will have me banned

One of the key players in the demise of western culture will be the lack of education in history and our REAL place in it. We have many friends We should embrace that.

Similar to the private island, I always thought it could be interesting to see if an old off shore floating oil rig could be converted into a mostly self sustaining community type setup. The poetic irony of a bunch of hippies taking big oils tool and turning it into a floating commune just tickles my funny bone for some reason.
