Goooood morning AFN!!!

Good conditions this year for lilac, apparently. Bushes blooming like mad all over the neighborhood. Can't wait for this one out front of my place to start getting fragrant in the next few days/weeks. :greenthumb:

After 77 years in Canada I know winter / fully spring here but it's still very tempting to " buck the odds " so to speak.
I think rolling those dice would be a fun project, but not without risks :D

There is no such thing as a GOOD, cheap ph meter. I learned the hard way, cost me an entire crop. I replace my first one with 2! BOTH of them crapped out in less than 6 months...

Blue Labs are good, but, IMO, EXTECH is the best. i've been using their PH100 series with a PH105 tip. Around $100 if you shop around. I've had to calibrate it once in 2.5 year. Just ran the original batteries dead... Popped in some new ones, check calibration...guess what, STILL dead on! I highly reccomend this pen. Water proof ( yeah! ) accurate ot 0.01. I now replace the tip yearly, about $50. Cheap insurance if you ph a lot of water like I do. But properly cared for, the tip can last years.
