I live life on the wild side lmao. I am experimenting with mainlining on these girls, so the last one was topped 3 times, the two I showed first were topped 5 times I think? Before I found AFN I was going by the general "autos shouldn't be topped" rule I had seen online. After reading a ton here I've found that they tend to tolerate it pretty well, so I was curious to see what happened if I took it to the extreme. The one I only topped 3 times was runt so I stopped, but she has since exploded. The other two I just kept topping till they started popping out hairs. I grow in a 2x2 so I'm mainly looking to figure out what I can do in order to keep my plants as small as possibly but still producing good yields. It may end up being an epic failure but I'm sure I'll still get *something* from them even if its not a huge amount. I got 4.72oz from my first 4 autos which I let go all natural, and I've got one photo I just chopped and 3 more soon to come down, so I've got plenty of flower stockpiled to last me months and I figured now was a good time to experiment lol. If I can harvest an oz a month I will be able to keep ahead of our smoking habit, just trying to find the best way to go about it lol. 4 big plants in 5 gal pots definitely works with a 1ft² footprint for each, but I want to see if I can get down to a .25ft² footprint per plant in 1gal pots while keeping yields up. I also intentionally picked strains that are (according to breeder descriptions) meant to stay small and finish quickly. If I can yield 8.26g per plant in the 1 gal bags I will be pulling equal to the average of the 4 plants I had in the 5gal bags (average of 33g per plant). If I can pull more than that it would be a bonus lol.
