Red Poison Nitrogen Toxicity???

Hi, I recently changed location and it turned out that my new tap water had really low levels of magnesium which caused a claw similar to yours which I cured with some Epsom salts, hope you get it sorted, good luck.

Thanks for the info mate, I didn't know that a lack of magnesium can also cause the claw. But in my case it was really the N toxicity that caused the claw because the color of my leaves was really dark dark green.
Thanks, I will do my best to get the girl sorted and on the right track again

Yeah, in my case the N tox only showed on the leaves that were affected by the mag def once I corrected it, had me baffled for a while, good luck.

Ok guys time for an update.

My LED panel was sent off to get the fan repaired and I am now using a 250W HPS lamp for the next 1.5 weeks until I get the panel back. The girls don’t mind the light change and are now putting their energy into bud production, although it is going quite slow for my taste and I would have expected the buds to be bigger by now. But then again I have probably stunted them with the N toxicity and that’s why they show slow progress in bud production…but please you be the judge and let me know whether the things are moving along as they should or there is some stagnation of the flowering.

Red Poison's buds seem to be slimmer and don't have as many and as thick hairs as the Med Gom. But maybe that is more strain specific and the Med Gom is more on the Indica dominant side while the Red Poison is more Sativa. Or maybe red poison was just more stunted from the N toxicity and is still strugling with bud production.

Now more pics in the natural light

Red Poison: is also showing some calcium defficiency. Any ideas on a quick fix apart from dolomite lime or calcium carbonate...which take time to ne absorbed ?

So what do you guys think, do my girls look stunted in terms of bud production for their age (RP 45 days) & (Med Gom 44 days)?

RP can be a tricky lady. While some say testing the ph of the soil runoff is not needed I found that what I had thought was a calcium deficiency was actually a soil ph issue. I had been struggling with it for 3 grows by the time I figured it out. Everything I put in was 6.4 and everything coming out was 4.2. I put 3TBS of Dolomite Lime on the top of the soil and the issue stopped after a week. Since then I have been sure to mix it into my soil and saw my yields go up nicely. I don't think you stunted her too bad. Buds look right where they should for their age.

Thanks for the info. mate!!! I will add some Calcium carbonate and epsom salt in my feed tomorrow. Was also thinking of mixing some dolomite lime into the soil before starting the grow but I decided not to do it because I thought that I might mess up the balanced out composition and PH of the biobizz light mix soil...now I know that I should have mixed in some d lime, but I learned my lesson for the next grow :smoking:

So long as it is the same issue I had. Water Using ph'd water without any nutes until you get some some out flow from the soil and test the ph. If it's super low I bet that's the problem. If it's not then the soil ph is at least ruled out.

I think the FoxFarm nute feeding schedule is great. Have used on Autos and photos, and have always had killer results. Until now with one of biodiesel mass auto going completely yellow to white almost. Its now in fourth week of flower. The other bdm is taken care of same way and is doing great! Pics in soon! My last bdm was my best auto ever! Advanced Seed Co. Has great auto genetics. Good deals, and lots of help. I have been getting my beans there lately w/no problems. I also have a beautiful auto critical care, cbd. No problems :bong:

Hey guys, is this a calcium deficiency? The affected leaves are dried out and crunchy. Usually the necrosis spots are much smaller when there is a calcium deficiency. These are much bigger spots and some of them are rusty colored and some are brown. Virtually all leaves are effected (some more some less).

Is this the aftermath of the N toxicity? I do not have an accurate 8 soil probe and did not check the PH of the runoff but I always water her in the range 0f 6.1-6.7 PH. Please take a look at it @Waira ….I’m really curious what might be causing this.

She is at day 50 and struggling.

... :smoking: sorry Noob, been busy with the move,... Oy! -that's Ca defc. big time ... and yes, N-tox can mess with Ca uptake,.. dude, holler sooner, even at the Live Help thread if you need to, okay? Ca defc. can come on very fast, and make a visual mess of things,...finer spotting is common, but large patches of necrotic tissue can form to, especially when advanced... Ca demand is high at this stage too,.. get on that Ca-Mg ASAP, full dosage power! forget dolomite, it's the slowest acting form of lime, you need right-now available Ca-Mg,.. it'll take a few days to get in there and working, so some progression of symtpoms will happen, but hopefully will halt soon,.... what's your Ca-Mg supplement on hand? Does it have any N in it? --some do!
