Finally my head out of my arse enough now to double quote. Doh!!

Thanks for stopping by guys. Like I said above, I wouldn’t be here without learning from folks like you.

This whole growing process is quite addictive to be honest. Great smoke is a very nice bonus to the process for sure too though!! Have a good one guys.

Lol addictive is a understatement. More like obsession. And once you get the hang of your setup and get everything perfect you will do what I've done time and time again by switching everything and expanding the grow for a reason to buy and try new things lol. I went from soil to coco and now I'm switching to rockwool lol. And I'm already looking at aeroponics and Dutch buckets for my outdoors as well. Your screwed now.lol just wait.

Right on grow’n brother!! Thanks for backing up my comment on AFN.

Only 2 this time since I’m turning my CMH off. Growing under 2 BigSm0 autocobs....GWK and forum stomper get their two tickets to paradise this round. Excuse the reference but jammn to some old Eddie money. :)

Edit: sticking to meph for a while. A long while as I work my way through their genetics. Quality, service and price are in line with what I seek in a business. MrOldBoy mentioned similar in their customer service post.

Hope all is well man

GWK is a winner. The three in the tent now all look great. Forum stomper.... don't have any of those yet. I want to get some Sour Stomper next actually. Agreed on the Mephisto gear being where its at. I have issues with the customer service as do others, but its something that can be worked around. After all I have all the beans I paid for and then some the freebies. And even got a refresh on the bad Sour Cracks. That was great service right there. Its actually great value genetics when you look at the whole picture. Price is totally fair IMO.

I'll be removing my HPS light too now that its warming up. So I'll go from 10 plants down to 8 next grow. All Mephisto for sure. Still got a long list of their gear to try for the first time or ones I want to do over. Probably keep me going for a year or more before I try anything else again.

Update.. day 69 for 24Ks, sour stomper and BTS; day 74 for last two sour cracks.

I’m finding I smoke much more than I thought. Done worked my way through jar of first SC I harvested. Damn. :-)

Posting now as I need some help on my drying process. I’ve over dried 3 plants this run and do not want to do this to my last batch of ladies. BTS is sitting at 57% with 62% boveda packs. Crispy on the outside but semi moist as I break apart. Perfect for joints but I’m a bowl smoker. SCs sitting at 61 to 62%...but still too dry.

My method:
*Trim wet
*Divide big buds into smaller nugs
*Put in paper bag or box for 4 or 5 days
*Close bag/box in grow room
*No direct air BUT lights still on as I’m finishing my other ladies—
*temps in room 68-74f and *RH between 55 and 40....OR is THIS my problem.

My issue for the 3 harvested so far. Way too dry and bowl burns way too quick.

HELP!!! Please. Was supposed to harvest remaining SCs this past Sunday but got cold feet as I’m afraid to ruin them. Goal is to harvest all Friday or Saturday but leave BTS til day 80ish under single autocob. She’ll be pushed to full couch lock.

When it comes to harvest, What I do is this:
Wet trim.
Cut down the plant, and hang it by the main stem if there's room.
Turn on my dehumidifier, and set it at 40%.
Feel the buds morning, noon, and evening. Once they feel a little crispy, but the stalk still bends and barely snaps, I'll cut them from the branch, and throw them in a 1 gallon hermetic jar. They'll usually level out around 70-72%. I'll open the jar, And set it in the tent (odor control). I'll check the humidity gauge every couple of hours, Until it reads 60% or so... Then I seal the jar back up, put it in the dark, and check again a day later. I'll keep going for a few days until my jar of buds sits at 60-65% consistently.
After that, I'll open the jar, give it a good shake, take a tester nug or two out, and close it back up.

If the stuff you have is just too dry, Throw an orange peel in the jar, and watch your hygrometer until it reads what you want.
I did that with street weed until I started growing my own.

Hmm triming dry cure 1001 answers all of them right.but our individual circumstances are different.
Im a bit anal i hate handling buds before they ready for the grinder.
I would prefare to jar a day early,Sometimes when i pit my hand in the jar the next day, budd have softened and id have to empty jars again and let them sit another 24hpurs.
Good luck n keep er lit

Can you hang instead of bags? I am no expert but after some not to good tries using paper bags I switched to hanging. First the whole plant wet trimmed for a couple of days then I cut the branches off and trim more and hang those for as long as possible (the cooler the temp the longer it takes) until the branches can snap. Then I remove the buds and put in jars and get them to 62 percent.

The million dollar question!

Absolute frustration watching such potential fade into mediocrity - the dry and cure is such a critical part to the process.

Bag, box, wet trim, dry trim, whole plant hang partial breakdown hang, racks. I've tried them all. In my experience, the difference between drying method is inconsequential.

I prefer a rough wet trim, into paper bags, into a perforated box.

What is of significance, is temperature and humidity. Try a elongated dry on some flower.

My last run, contrary to everything I've come to know and believe, was slow dried WITH supplemental humidification. Temperatures maintained at a constant 83 with humidity at 90% day one, dropping daily in 3-4% increments until low 60's.

Never before have I achieved a terpene profile post dry that was as representative of the plant through flower.

I have never dried or cured yet but will have my first next week hopefully. So I have been reading a lot on this and I was wondering cause you said the SC was at 61-62% RH and was too dry? I thought thats right where you want them? Also everything ive seen on the paper bag method said to place them in a dark , slightly dry (50-60%RH), with some air movement around them for a few days. You are saying your only doing 1 of these things lol. Idk how that effects them or if it even does. Like I said I have zero experience and I am just sharing word of mouth experiences I have read through the forums. Either way. I hope your buds turn out the way you want and are delicious .
