Nutrients ReCharge

Generally, depends on the strain and conditions, lyophilized (freeze-dried) microbial cultures (powders) are more stable, provide higher levels of live microbes after reconstitution, than aqueous formulations. For ex., yeast usually comes as freeze-dried powder.

Totally guessing, I'd say ReCharge is likely good (enough) for 3-4 years, if kept in original dry condition.

It's no longer dry. It's absorbed humidity I guess because it's darker and harder to scoop out.

I have some like that...I wonder if it's still good. 3.5 years old or so? It's not too solid it broke into chunks when I banged it:haha: and the chunks break up easily:shrug:

Mine's dark too. A good microscope would help, mine isn't good enough to see those things

I would presume that the gunking, sticking together and getting darker is the molasses/carbs and maybe other organics absorbing water and powder particles fusing. Probably not good for a dehydrated microbe powder product.

Please define"good"
Does it still have 100% of the dried bacteria available that it had 3 years ago??
Probly not.
Does it still have some bacteria and other goodies??
Probly so.
I'd personally break it up and use it in my outside veggie garden, compost pile or even compost tea.
Then I'd buy more!!

Just found this on their website.
