So I ordered some rootmaker pots after work Friday night, 9 5 gallon pots, paid 8.99 each from Rootmaker.com. Come to find last night while looking up info/reviews on these pots theres third party sites that sell the rootmakers for low as 6. I could of bought 12 for the price I paid for 9. Should I call ****** and cancel the order before the company ships? I tried emailing/calling the company but had no luck, I assume bc its the weekend. What do ya guys think?

Call them monday and tell them,or call your credit card co.and tell them to cancel it.

Or just say there not suitable and send them back and get a refund, customer rights and all that

That blows my mind that the actual company who makes the product sells it for more than third party merchants. Hopefully my email to them asking about the price difference will get me a cpl extras :)

The company is protecting it's distributors. The distributors probably sell way more product and make way more money for the company than if the company sells the product themselves, even for more money. So just call the company, explain the situation and see what they'll do for you. Next time do more research before you place an order for anything.

They are absolutely protecting their distributors.
Most honest manufacturers will not sell their product below suggested retail to the public.
The retailers can sell for whatever profit they are comfortable with as they know their client base. Can they make more by selling more items for less or is the market so small that they need to keep the price up?
I like saving a buck, but if it is a small outfit, I don't mind paying them full retail. It is hard to get a company off the ground and successful even when you have a great product. And there are so many people ready to take all your hard work doing research & development and produce their own version for a quick buck.
