Question from a noob

So I've been getting real into this hobby and researching all that I can about it and I have to tell you I love it. I really think this is something for me, and I'm working on setting up my first grow. I know this question is me getting WAY ahead of myself, but I was wondering, let's say I wanted to go about making my own genetics. Do y'all usually start from something like a local strain, something that you found or stumbled upon, or do you just cross breed some genetics that you love and hope for the best? I was wondering because my buddy's parents in the upper Midwest have just found a whole lot of weed growing in the woods on their property naturally and I was thinking about going up there and grabbing some seeds if it's any good.

Breeding is quite involved. Basically you are saying you want to turn semi-pro before you've played your first game.

Nothing against it, but let's get the basics down. If you want to read about genetics and breeding, go for it. My first grow was bag seed. The pot was blah, but I learned a lot from the experience.
Since then, I've always bought seed, stick with the really good breeders. My second grow was World of Seeds, and they are worth trying.

That wild weed could be hemp. Hemp is also known as Ditch Weed, or at least it used to be. It has very, very, little THC. But it makes great rope.

What kind of stone do you like? Hashy, high THC, balanced?

Lazy as shit. I have a really hard time sleeping, super high anxiety. I like a hardcore body stone, couch locked and drifting off to Neverland

Hashy it is. The guys will be along shortly with some suggestions, not my area. I've been wanting to grow some like that, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

One of the types to consider is a Dragon.
