RocBud Purple Roc B1 /Sip

Have u ever ph’d your activated em1 after adding to water and letting it sit. I had it happen from using LABS which is also fermented microbes basically and it drops to like 3.3ph after few hours so mixing and putting into reservoir it’ll continuously drop as long as it’s in reservoir getting oxygen to it! I have 1/2 a 2L bottle I stopped using cuz was giving me issues in the boxes! Think I need to go back to mixing soil cuz this time around my local guys stuff I use has had mag/cal and now f-ing manganese so thinking my guy went a little light on the micronutrient additions into the mix! That and using stupid Agsil16 stuff and never ph’ing that solution got my ph up to 6.9 and manganese isn’t available above 6.0 so gonna feed em the bioag TM7 stuff and I’ll drop solution to like 5.5 to see if they can absorb it easier! Guess we will see! :coffee2:
Do you think lower concentrations would work better with the EM1?

I ph'd the runoff water once when I was having the issue and it was 4.3. Because of my fill being opposite from the drain, I assume most of the water draining has been sitting for a few days at least. I've heard so many people say that growing this way, unless it is way off, ph doesn't matter. Of course none of them say exactly what they mean by "way off". I think 1 did mention the 3's. My ro/tap water runs around 7. I'll do the whole test bit Sun. of b4 and after.

It's all a bit confusing. Most of the info I see is about Living Soil which gets top watered and basically the worms convert the soil/nutrients into what the plant needs. With the sips we are bottom watering and I'm not sure of the importance of the worms. Kind of interesting is there is a gal in Cali that grows very close to a river. All she does is top dress with compost. Doesn't do any watering. Says the plants draw the water from the river. Been doing it for years and has won many 'cups".
Well, I found wild canna growing along a river when I was a kid. ALL were over 10ft tall and it was probably mid August. I'd bet it's still growing there to this day.

That usually seems to be the solution or at least the start. I've been using it with every watering. I'm gonna cut back to just my Sun feed/water. I've heard that you should use em1 whenever you use bokashi as they work better together. I'll prolly do my 2nd water on Wed with whatever I think it may need extra. ie: aloe in veg coconut in bloom. I think once I find out what my issue is, I'll need to start the needed amendment a week or 2 b4 flower rather than waiting for flower to start.
HGMB has an interesting vid about jump starting your top dress/compost:Jump Start
You were taliking about layering:
Need to bombard Future Cannabis Project to have a show on sips

That's funny, you just reminded me about the same discovery when I was a kid

Here's the rest of the progression

LABS and em1 (activated or not) are really similar cuz em1 is just lacto bassilus microbes with some purple microbes added to it! I think using it need to mix up jug a few hours early and let the ph fall and then raise it to where it should be before feeding with it! I have been using tribus microbes this time and had really good luck! Even over feeding the KSi and ph going thru the roof on that (was told goes over 10 adding silica and never checked before using it) but made my ph go up to just 6.8 so think my manganese and mag issues were from K tox blocking the micronutrients from being absorbed!

I’ve done the preactivating the HGkashi before adding into teas!

The layering thing sounds interesting but I have my doubts about the timing. Seems to me the roots in these boxes would blast right thru. But- if it means the bloom nutes will be already available when needed----worth a try. Still gonna give em some of this coconut/banana extract when the time comes

In order to do it every time that u need to add the next round the boxes would need to only be like 1/2 filled it seems! That way got room to topdress compost or castings every week or 2!
