Hey bro what do u use to make photo with black background? I can be a technical moron at times so been trying to figure this out WITHOUT PAYING for upgrade to photoshop Lightroom or something! UNLESS I HAVE TO!

Easy-- Have a black wall. lol. You can hang a black sheet. JUst iron it. The farther your subject is from the wall, the darker it will appear.
If you use a dslr and flash, there are settings you can use that will make a white wall go black. I've never been a flash fan---I like seeing the basic pic in my viewfinder so I just use daylight led's.
A neat trick if you have a photo program that allows you to use overlays is to hang a sheet that is a medium grey and take your shot. You can then overlay pretty much any background over it. You have to play with the settings a bit.

And no, I'm not a vampire living in a black cave. I was a woodworker/designer most of my life. Found some trees that had fallen in a storm and the wood is quite light with black streaks through it. Milled it into lumber with a chainsaw mill and been slooowly making furniture from it. The black walls set the furniture off. The bus has plenty of windows so its not as dark as you might think

Checked my water again today. Plain water 6.5. with EM1 after 2 hours 4.6. Runoff water 4.4
After reading those articles I'm going to switch to dolomite.

How to apply dolomite lime to plant soil?

That usually seems to be the solution or at least the start. I've been using it with every watering. I'm gonna cut back to just my Sun feed/water. I've heard that you should use em1 whenever you use bokashi as they work better together. I'll prolly do my 2nd water on Wed with whatever I think it may need extra. ie: aloe in veg coconut in bloom. I think once I find out what my issue is, I'll need to start the needed amendment a week or 2 b4 flower rather than waiting for flower to start.

I really don't place much merit in the "layering" aspect in that article in the pdf file.
LOL! Not with Canna's root system! The roots will be into all those layers WELL before they show in that article.

I think I'm gonna make it a KISS grow. After set up, I'm just gonna feed the worms. They can have any amendment fully ready in two weeks. Plenty of simple amendment on hand to use at any stage that I can feed to the worms.

The Pro tip goes against what EB used to recommend with the silly trenching crap. They now say to mix the dolomite into the media.

That tells me EB really doesn't really know why they make the recommendations they do.
